Maybe, but GGG is washed up at this point. I mean to be honest I was never a huge fan anyway but at this point he's just ripe to be taken out to pasture.

GGG has been declining for about 5 years, more rapidly now.

GGG in his physical prime would’ve whooped these fighters, let’s be honest. Most felt peak Canelo got gifts v a mid 30’s GGG. Even he waited 2 years before getting in the ring with GGG.

It’s funny how everyone seems to want to fight him now but weren’t exactly that keen before.

But that’s boxing. Timing is everything.

            What was GGG’s prime?

I have no clue who prime GGG even is. In his 20s he had a fight with one fighter, Ian Gardner, who gave him fits. He then had issues with a washed up Kasim Ouma. At 30 he got buzz finally, I think that’s when he beat Proksa. He was then getting attention because he was calling out old fighters who were close to retirement like Sturm, Martinez, Cotto. I thought Jacobs could have gotten the nod over GGG but it wasn’t robbery. Still, the first real top guy he fought and his KO streak miraculously ended and he was “past prime”. It had nothing to do with his competition becoming stiffer. It was that he was past his best. Conveniently.

I believe one of the Charlos called him out about 4 years ago and GGG’s trainer said the Charlo dude needs to beat Sebastian Heiland first and also get more wins at MW. Mind you, GGG and his trainer were perfectly fine with Kell Brook coming up from 147 to 160, and were also okay with Rosado coming up to fight them. GGG was also calling out then 154 pounders, Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez. He also accepted step aside money to allow Canelo-Cotto to happen when he was mando for the belt.

He was okay with going to 168 for Chavez Jr, said he’d go up for that fight (of course easy pickings) but at the same time was telling Ward to come down to 164 and Froch to come down to 166. Basically showing his scared side. Lara, a 154 fighter, called him out regularly in his so called prime. Never accepted the challenge. But Rosado, Brook and Vanes were all great picks in his eyes. Easy wins/money.

Just all around a joke of career and perfectly placed excuses all through out it.

Peter Quillen blatantly ducked GGG for years but karma got him when danny sparked him in about 40 seconds.

Rosado was GGG’s 2nd fight in the USA.

LOL Vanes was a last minute REPLACEMENT fight because canelo popped for “tainted meat”.

Cool, GGG had issues with Ouma. Charlo just got a gift robbery win vs Matt Korobov like 2 fights ago LOL

Quillin was ADVISED to refuse GGg and Roc Nation deals...

                  Hence, “advised!”

                    Jermall should rematch Korobov first.
