What do people find appealing in these loud boxers?

This isn't the 60s or the 90s where it was free for all - everything is much more PC now and being loud doesn't really sell tickets.

And when you look at boxers who historically were loud in the past - they had a reason to be. Unlike these sheltered idiots that grew up as good kids, only to pick up boxing and turn into wannabe thugs in their late 20s and 30s. I can't take idiots like these people seriously.

Ali had a reason to be how he was due to how racially divided his country was back then and his belief. Mike Tyson grew up around killers and he's from the roughest part of Brooklyn coupled with being the youngest undisputed HW champion of all time. Mayweather wasn't really that loud but he's also from a rough background.

However, you have the likes of Wilder, Fury and Josh Taylor who are either sheltered Pastor's son, born into stability or grew up being goofy trying to be fake thugs. It's hysterical. Especially for those of us who know what being tough is.

People from tough backgrounds are trying to escape those harsh realities and mostly leave it behind by age 25 - unless they're stuck. And those stuck there are mostly hopeless bums. So why would anyone want to be that in his 30s?

Being a loud thug doesn't sell in boxing in 2020 and there's a reason why the 2 biggest names in boxing - Canelo and AJ - are PC and marketable. Only the e-thugs who want to be laptop gangsters find these bellends appealing - most people don't.

Not sure what's funnier, you correlating being loud with a socioeconomic background, or you thinking Canelo is a bigger star than the face of boxing, Fury.

        LMAOOOOOOO.

All Fury's PPV numbers combined isn't half of Canelo's lowest PPV number.

            Tell that to McGregor

It pathetic that a mma fighter and not another boxer took up Floyd method for selling fights

Boxing and MMA are two different sports. And McGregor is himself - not a fake thug. That's who he's and his story is out there. So there's a demographic it's appealing since most MMA fans are punk rock fans.

Boxing on the other hand is traditionally more of a mainstream sport and since the mainstream is more PC these days, fake thugs are only going to put more people off the sport.

BTW, Mayweather was NEVER loud. He's just assertive and flamboyant. No loudmouth fake thug calls everyone a helluva fighter.

                wrong

Mma is mainstream. Mma is accessible unlike boxing. You have an easier time finding places that show all the mma fights

Politically correct v4ginas are only a small number of boxing fans. Boxing isn’t offered at colleges, the place where people become pc v4ginas

The more of a thug you are, the more you get paid in boxing and combat sports if you fight good also

Fighters especially Boxers have freedom of speech unlike other athletes

Imagine if Mayweather was the star of another sport when he made fun of Filipinos

Imagine if manny was the star of another sport when he called h0m0s animals

Both would have got in trouble with their sport

Boxing not being mainstream is why boxers can get away with speaking their mind

I just judge them by their fights and don't care about their background or how they grew up. They are pro fighters now so that is how I rate them.

LMAO. I guess the granpa in your name is a decoy because if you're older than 20, you'd know boxing used to be on terrestrial TV during primetime hours. And nothing is more mainstream than that. It's the reason why the average person - male or female - understands the basics of the sport. Everyone takes the boxing stance when it's time to fight. It's also an olympics sport. What's more mainstream than that? MMA doesn't have that luxury.

Also, the average person knows boxing legends. But no one knows any MMA legends. Even McGregor has to keep fighting boxers to expand his fan base.

Loads of athletes have said worse things than what Mayweather and Manny said and nothing happened to them. John Terry called a player a black c*unt and it was brushed off. Cooper a former NFL receiver called someone the N-word and he was rewarded with a contract. And most athletes are h0m0phobic, anyway.

Being a thug in boxing doesn't sell anymore. It's a mainstream sport and the mainstream is PC in 2020. If fake thuggery sells - Wilder, Fury and Josh Taylor would be massive draws now. Too bad they aren't and they will never be. The only fame they will get is on the internet with internet wannabe thugs and that doesn't sell tickets nor buy PPvs.
