Reminds of when Kovalev decked Yarde out with a light jab.
Lol. “Light Jab.” That Kovalev jab was legendary. The speed of it fully extended, like a “check jab” while Yarde rushed in to hook himself. Remember what happened to Manny when he too exerted his body into a punch in Marquez 4?

And regarding Rosario, Round 7 was an elevated performance and got better as the round closed. If you’re exhausted or dazed you simply aren’t sharp like that with a high guard rushing a guy down while also throwing your combinations. We would’ve saw a dip from a minute 30s at the start of Round 7.

It’s a shame boxing fans aren’t reasoning for what we know happens in the ring.

It was poor acting from Rosario

Jeison, we already knew that. Well at least real boxing fans knew it.

We could tell as you were stumbling back toward your own corner after the second knockdown at the end of the round that you were done. It was only a matter of time before Mell would have stopped you anyhow.

You lost to the better man that's all. So there is nothing for you to hang your head about. You put up a very spirited and valiant effort though and more importantly you get to fight another day.

I thought if Rosario once he got close he would be able to force Jermell to fight but credit to Jermell for staying composed an not allowing to be dragged into a fire fight!

He clinched Rosario every time whenever Rosario got close or was starting to throw combinations!

If he’s killing himself To make weight an it hurt his body then he needs to move up!

The fight was competitive and if you takeaway the knockdowns, Rosario would clearly be well ahead and winning the fight but Jermell is just too much for anyone it seems at 154 right now!
I would still like to see him against Lara since I see weird holes in his technique. Jermell could loose to weird cats if he doesn't get the KO or a few knockdowns. He thinks he can knock everyone out but seems to panic and fight scared when his punches don't wobble the opponent. Could be because of the one loss continually creeps into his head.

Yes, Rosario needs a jab. Charlo could use one as well to systematically destroy guys like Oscar did and get easy KOs.

I wonder if his elbow covering his body is what smashed his chest area causing the most effect from Charlo's punch.

Comments on post #16 since you seem to be hopping from thread to thread hugging all over Rosario’s nuts? I can’t wait for this one.

Probably because it hit him in the head, and not the elbows.

Even though he lost I was impressed. He clearly walked Charlo down and beating him to the punch throughout the fight. The knockdowns were the difference 🥊
