Spence and Danny Garcia break down the upcoming fight

Spence looks fine. But what concerned me is him saying when he started running and his head (hips?) started hurting. Makes me wonder if he's got long term damage that didn't actually heal.

All signs are pointing to this being a horrible idea for Spence. Danny, although limited, is a brute who will wing massive shots at Spence's skull if Spence isn't elusive. People hate on Thurman but he has great footwork and head movement which befuddled DSG. I don't think Spence can or choose to fight in that manner.

Well, we don't know how Danny's lack of speed will play into things though. Spence might just choose not to go to war and it definitely would favor him as a result.

Pretty sure he said his hips were hurting, not his head.

He also said 3 months after the accident, which means January, almost 10 months ago.

            He may have said hips.

Regardless, feeling pain 3 months after a car wreck is not a good sign. There are tons of stories of people who deal with basic whiplash that feel something years after the fact. I'm one of them.

Yeah, I worry about that too. I think, that it may be a bit too premature and soon for him to get right back into the mix with a title contender like Danny Garcia. I would rather him fight a tune up first in order to gauge just how much he has left.

Yes, that’s why you rehabilitate. Anyone who doesn’t run in a while will sometimes feel hip pain, he just happens to be an athlete.

Anyone who goes through injuries in any kind of sport runs into these obstacles on the road to recovery. I’m more concerned with him taking punches, but it seems like he didn’t suffer head trauma from what we know.
