McGregor has turned himself into a high priced jobber; kinda like Adrein Broner...🤔

Now that Conner got a taste of that boxing payday with Floyd he can’t go back to those small UFC checks.
He’ll gladly take 0-2 in a boxing ring to secure that bag.

The thing is, Manny is SUPPOSED TO finish Conor in "a most devastating way".

You don't get rewarded for doing your job. You get rewarded for going above and beyond.

Floyd already beat McGregor. A win for Manny against an 0-1 opponent that Floyd already stopped after walking him down does nothing for Manny.

What Manny SHOULD have done is something absolutely nuts. Like a catchweight against Ryan Garcia or something. Garcia's social media backing alone makes that fight a huge draw.

The contradictions come thick and fast, I can see a lot of this is what you said back then posts.
C'mon dude - Manny has been fighting the best in the world for 20 years - Won most, lost a few, but will go down as a top 20 ATG in the history of the sport. If he wants a golden parachute in a super high profile entertainment event, let him do his thing. At his age, and with his mileage, and with all he's given to the sport, I think he's earned it, no?

Yes I can see McGregor who will come in on fight night upwards of 170 pounds possibly landing a monster shot and ending the fight. Styles make fights. An 0-1 novice that has a funky style throwing solid punches is alot different than a slick boxer than Keith Thurman.

Thurman is shot he has been since the DSG fight let's be honest. He is an injury waiting to happen. Pac is top of the line legend in the sport but he isn't as defensive as Floyd and fights a different fight.

It's the punch you dont see that can hurt you. That's how I'm looking at it. Just my 2 cents.

Where does this myth of Connor's "vaunted power" come from anyway? He landed a couple solid left hooks and right hands on Floyd and May walked right through them. Floyd carried that boy the whole fight. Thurman, DSG, Porter, even Mikey Garcia would END Connor within two rounds if they went in 100%.

i dont see it happening. actually poeple make it worse, not the boxers. they like to compare boxers according to their common foes. so fighting first doesn't give you the upper hand and a 1st lose doesn't mean a decline from its peak. so basically fighting common opponents is fine unless it's a couple of years apart. in mcgregor's case its ok.. he's not declining as of now.

Fair enough, bud. I respect your opinion. And I will say this...all professional fighters who share the ring must respect one another. Even a fighter in McGregor's case who isn't a boxer. But he is a fighter. And as we know in boxing (or in combat sports in general) all it takes is one big shot to change everything.

At this point, Conor is only interested in fights that do not present risk. Manny doesn't go after people anymore so he's a good pick. That's why he ain't picking Canelo who is actually at his weight. And I don't think he fights Khabib ever again.
