It ALMOST doesn't matter to me. I'll watch and I'll see for myself. If it's a bad decision, it gives us something to talk about for a few years.

Canelo/Golovkin 1 for instance. Not only did it give us something to talk about but overall it worked out for everyone involved, including Golovkin (monetarily speaking).

I wonder would he trade a few mil for a signature win over a 'prime elite' which it seems is required for a lot of people

What were ggg's close ones? DJ and derv? can't think of the others. They werent blatant robberies though and he scored kds in both fights if I recall.

When it comes to two people from the same nation fighting it comes down to a side b side politics.

Anyway, hometown advantage is real, literally no-one with any knowledge of boxing denies this. It's just one of those things where it sucks to be from the non-western/non-English speaking world.

Americans would throw a hissyfit about having to routinely fight in Russia with a Russian ref, 3 Russian judges, Russian promoters, networks, commissions etc.
Hey, your president is already trying to stack the supreme court to throw out the vote, using the lie that it's fraudulent before the election even occurs.

You're making excuses for Derevyanchenko before the first punch is even thrown. Pathetic.

The judges for this one seemed solid to me. That said it won't be the first or last bad decision if it does end up that way so whatever. I tend to think there is a decent chance it ends with a stoppage too so the judges might not be needed.

Mostly my mind is on seeing a good competitive fight for a change between high level guys. We see those far too seldom.

Ofc Charlo will have hometown advantage, was there any doubt about that?

I'd be SHOCKED if the match was close and Derev got the decission.

when you're the foreign fighter you need a KO or to win in a very, VERY convincing fashion or else you'll get shafted in the cards, specially if your opponent is popular or a cash cow

It sucks but that's how boxing works.

He isn't my president, just like pointing out the hypocrisy of emotional p_ssies who keep bringing up Trump every second of every day. His big orange c_ck living rent free in too many haters' mouths.

In any case, I'm not biased so if Derv loses he loses, but if it's a robbery the people will decide. If Derv loses 8 rounds clearly and gets the decision then I'll call it what it is, a robbery. I have no interest in lying to protect the honour of a professional boxer who makes millions and wouldn't give a rat's ass about me.

Sergey will clearly win and post fight we will all say how we was robbed.
This is a pattern lately. The posters like satiev1 that favor the Russians and Europeans always claim before a fight with an American, especially a fighter promoted by Haymon, that there is a fix or a planned robbery.

This way when the boxer they like loses they don’t have to give credit but will instead argue robbery even if one doesn’t exist.

Posters like this are terrible fans and even worse human beings.

Just score the fight for yourself, put real effort into it and try to be as neutral as possible. That's all you can do. Almost any fight can be made more interesting if you have a running score, and it protects yourself from outside narratives as you have your own card to form your post-fight opinion from. Enjoy the fights and score it yourself live the fight time. 10-9 must
