What difference does that make now? Can Crawford stop Porter from fighting for the WBO belt next IF Porter petitions to become mandatory? Simple yes or no. Too much soap opera on this site.

What do you mean what difference does it make now? Crawford's history of turning down the Porter fight needs to be acknowledged and remembered.

Bronx you do understand it being a mandatory title shot means it doesn't matter what Crawford want's so those articles are meaningless at this point. Porter is in the drivers seat. If you don't hear the WBO announce Porter as the mandatory in the coming months and set a purse bid plus deadline for the fight its because Porter didn't want the fight. There is no other way to spin it.

Keep in mind that Spence has been mandated by the IBF to fight their interim champ next after Garcia or be stripped. So Porter is willing to wait until after that fight and until the WBC's mandatory is due again(Up to a year after fighting Danny).

Stevenson would knockout Herring with little to no problem. Herring isn't fast enough, or strong enough to keep up with Stevenson. No wonder Stevenson is asking for this fight to be made, he knows he would win. Herring looked absolutely terrible in his last fight with Oquendo. It's not a fight I would want to watch due to the good possibility that it would be a mismatch.

Knock him out with what power? Accumulation isn't really an option with a mover like Herring.

Former two-time welterweight titleholder Shawn Porter says he is trying to understand why Top Rank promoter Bob Arum now considers him a potential fight option for Terence Crawford following previous comments that Porter wasn't a very good boxer.

"Within the last year, Bob has said I'm not a good boxer and has said that Errol Spence Jr. would be a much better, competitive and entertaining fight [for Crawford] than I could give," Porter told ESPN.
