Look, Usyk was king of a crap division at CW but he passes the eye test in spades and was a quality amateur and has all the tools to succeed, assuming he can handle the power. For me anyway, the real test is, can he handle flush shots from real HWs, and can still be effective and fast with some added mass.

This is a big fight for me because Chisora is a real test, but I think anyone who expects for Usyk to be exposed for "stepping up" out of his weight class to be disappointed. His ceiling imo, is to match Holyfield's legacy.
If he beats Chisora, especially if he beats him well, I'll change my mind, but I really think Chisora beats him. I don't think Usyk has much body strength. He'll not be able to hold Chisora off and it takes a bigger puncher than Usyk to KO Chisora. I don't see Chisora hitting the floor either, this is going to be a hard 12 round test for Usyk. I think he'll lose, but if he doesn't and looks good, then I'll get on the Usyk HW hype train. I'll say another thing, this is the perfect test to see where he stands. Chisora is on form, fighting very aggressively, is durable, physically very strong, smallish, but does Usyk have the snap in the jab to hold him off?

Yep, and I'll have to manage my expectations if Chisora beats him. I agree it's a great test and fight, and can't wait.

But I agree, it will shake things up and that's what we want. Keep the hype to a boiling point.
I said stale cuz Joshua and Wilder loss their 0 in upsets. Then didn't look the same in their rematches. And Now Wilder might be done.

I guess I shoulda used another word

        I'ma Wilder fan lol.

Tough L to swallow in Feb my dude but look, Wilder only has one loss. It doesn't look good in the rematch but anything can happen, it's boxing. I don't see who can beat Wilder outside of maybe Usyk though, if we set Fury aside. And Usyk has to beat Chisora. Wilder lost his 0 but that doesn't mean he still might not go down as an ATG.

As Fury said about a Chisora, “Stick a jab in his face and he is useless”
I agree. Usyk is not as tall and long as Fury though, so I feel he might have a bit more difficulty. If he can keep his movement throughout the fight and not let Chisora catch him sitting still, his skills should pay the bills.

I just feel like he shoulda moved on and went to the drawing board. I had him losing the first fight I can't see him beating Fury. But I think Joshua would get layed out by Wilder 9/10.

And as far as Joshua I think Ruiz took away his confidence I think he is gun shy now. And I know he can't outbox Fury. So if he can't be the old Joshua I think he has no chance.

....I mean I give props to Chisora for taking on the fight but isn't it a little dangerous at this stage? well either way sounds like it could be a fight worth checking out even if there are those who might say different to me...

To say CW was a weak division is an overstatement. Aside from Kudryashov(who was still a dangerous puncher with a shaky chin), all those other guys in the first WBSS were top fighters. Huck and Wlodarczyk were past their best at the time, but they were the class of the division for years before that. Usyk beat Huck, Breidis & Gassiev all in their hometowns respectively(the latter two who were undefeated). He deserves his credit as a P4P guy with his results from the tournament alone. He still needs to prove himself at HW though.

Will be a good sparring session for Syk.

He’s just looking to cash out with a big payday. Holyfield achieved more than him in the CW and didn’t fake an injury when he moved up.
In what way did Holyfield achieve more than Usyk in CW?
