I already got 8 ppl showing up chipping in $10. With everyone bringing some food and drinks!
If you have no problem with the price, then why do you need people to chip in?

On paper that is a better undercard than any TR ppv events.

I think the one that’s fighting Dervy is trying a bit too hard. He was trying to be Broner/Mayweather/Wilder rolled into one last week when he was being interviewed. With the back to future car in the background etc 😂

You can barely understand a word of his. Am sure even Broner would sell more than him. Doesn’t matter how you try sometimes, if you have no personality then people wouldn’t pay you any attention.

Looking forward to the usual fake numbers from that side of the YouTube community.

Simply put these fights are not that different from a Showtime triple header and the Charlo twins are not PPV caliber fighters.

probably so - but it still is pretty much insignificant to the casual fan. At least TR is giving us the best and most significant match up of the year so far- Loma v Lopez!! 50/50 fight basically for free on ESPN!!!!!

He never stated he "needed" people to chip in. He has no problem with the price probably because he has people chipping in. Normally I would do the same. I tend to head over to my parents house where my uncles, cousins etc come over to watch the fight and we all chip in to pay for it. Since the media has everyone scarred about covid this time around it may only just be me and my parents and brother.

My issue with the PPV is selling it as 2 PPV's for the price of 1 when it is clearly just 1 PPV.

Amen!! Their thuggish “Lions OnLy” persona has gotten them nowhere with casual fans. Most here in Htown beyond the serious boxing don’t know who they are.

                  Agreed.

Personally I think 75 bucks is steep even in non-COVID times.

If this was truly top3 vs top3 it would feature either GGG or Andrade (or Canelo, if he ever comes back to MW).

Citing these fights as being for world championships carries little weight, thanks to the franchise and interim skulduggery and the multiple sanctioning bodies.

Who is the champ that Jermall beat to become champ? He's no champ.

Of the brothers, Jermell is the better known of the two to me... for losing to Tony Harrison. Not exactly PPV caliber guys in my mind.

That is what I mentioned before. The ppv events has to have names that the casual fan wants to buy. Most don't care about the undercard.

I just checked and looks like no live gate. Sucks because that casino is back open but it will be an empty arena.

They should let people that want to go to events go again. They could do every other seat, thats still a few thousand tickets they could sell. Then the PPV could be more reasonable.

Charlo- Derevyanchenko is a good match up but why should I pay the same price for that as other fights of even bigger names? If GGG-Canelo or Fury-Wilder were PPV they would charge the same price.
