Bob Arum is a "mierda" to me.

Even if the media never dares to say a negative word about him.

Collins was a far better boxer than Resto, who was VERY average and not expected to win. So lewis didn't fix up this disgusting act in a vacuum. There must have been huge money betting on this fight, perhaps millions. We'll never know. But certainly it had to be like that.

What you showed there wasn't glove tampering you moron.

About as low as it gets.
I like that phrase you seemingly created.

I challenge your assertion. Why not stop flinging vague accusations around and tell us STRAIGHT out what exactly you mean. When ,where, and HOW. I could almost guarantee right now that you are completely wrong.

I suspect that you may be referring the late 1990s huge scandal just 20 years ago, when the I.B.F chairman "Good Ole Bobby Lee" was interrupted in his racket of demanding huge sums from promoters to place their boxers on contenders lists..included $500.000 from Arum. Several other promoters were also being blackmailed.

If so, then your "scumbag" accusation, falls flat as a pancake. Arum was one of 42 people charged in that racket, which was the IBF head's, NOT Arum's. Because he was a lawyer, and would never dare lie under oath, he told the truth, which broke open the sordid matter. (He graduated from Harvard #1, Summa Cum Laude..if you know what that is..??)

Prominent Lawyers, (Arum ran a Tax Dept. for Bobby Kennedy) however far they drift away from their training, generally never lose that awe about swearing UNDER OATH. Arum is one, and well known for meticulously adhering to the terms of any contract his company commits to.

I suspect, however, that you have a more "racial" motive for your thousands of years old irrational hatred. After all, what did the guy ever do to you.....steal your wife, girlfriend, kill your mother, wipe out your whole family,.....WHAT.......?? I accept I'm only speculating here.
but what else arouses such obsessive hatred. Calling for the death of a person you don't know, never met..........................sick...!!

I was at that fight. It was on the Duran/Moore undercard.
Didn't really realize what happened until later, just that Billy was one tough kid to go the full ten after getting assaulted with padding less gloves.

Wasn't the "official" story something to do with a New York coke dealer Lewis knew paying for the "assurance" of a Resto win?

I don't know about a drug dealer, but the police found out that Lewis and some underworld figure had a deal, where the crook bet a huge amount on Resto. Resto had lost 6-7 fights at the time, and not expected to win anyway, and Collins was 14-0 with -10 11 KOs. With that money at stake, they wanted to make sure. Lewis obviously was not doing it for nothing. Many things can be inferred without actually being said aloud; this was one of them.

A video or movie was made sometime after where Resto confessed that Lewis had removed the padding, and had done it a few times, as well as using banned drugs with his fighters

The term "scumbag" much overused on this site, suited Lewis perfectly. He was potentially attempting to kill or seriously maim the opponents, in a crooked way.
