Haymon sold Efe for $35K. Said, “we were saving him for Wilder but he’s no longer undefeated. You can use him for Fury whenever you like.” Top Rank said, “ehhh... $5K max.” Al, “deal!”

Even Ajagba nuthuggers are realizing that he's nothing but a tomato can.

Efe doesn't seem to have elite power or skills but he's still growing as a fighter

It's amazing how quickly fans jump off the bandwagon of a prospect or up and comer once he stops flattening opponents.

It's part and parcel of a prospects learning curve to box the full 4, 6, 8, and 10 rounds - I didn't see the fight, but if Efe was in control for most of the fight, that was probably the game plan.

The guy didn't have much of an amateur career and this opponent was according to his stats, a guy Efe could spar with.

Having said that, I'm indifferent to Ajagba, not having seen enough of him. (he has Adalaide Byrd judging a few of his fights, so that can't hurt-the fact she's still judging is criminal)

Daniel Dubois is probably the hottest prospect right now, but my concern is the guy pushes his punches, what saves him are excellent fundamentals.

If Dubois could learn to create more snap, crackle and pop he would be an almost perfect fighter. His test is coming in the form of Joyce, so we'll see.

            Just playing devils advocate here.

Boxing pundits are the worst of all! Just one bad fight and they will drag you through the mud. Must a fighter win by KO all the time? I agree that he need lots of improvement but writing him off at this stage of this career isn't fair!

Meanwhile, I'll blame his trainers for his poor performance. They need to work more on his movement, flexibility and punch variation. He need to go more to the body of his opponents.

Very difficult fight with that level opponent. Ajagba is not ready for next level. Demirizen remains his best fight and win. Ajagba has a lot work do to, he was rocked by Kiladze, struggled with Rice..Rice was hitting him too much.

Ajagba is still a threat at the HW division. He needs such fights to test his durability.
Kudos to his new promoters for giving him durable opponents.
