I'm not trying to hate on the guy,and I am not even saying that he is not the most talented fighter in boxing right now but come on how can he be considered p4p when he will not fight anyone that is really going to test him or have the slightest possibility of beating him. He will not take that dangerous fight, he would rather settle for the safe fights that he knows the other guy doesn't have a chance. Even Floyd lovers can't dispute the fact that he has been playing it safe for a long time. Once again I'm not hating, it's just the truth, wether people want to beleive it or not.

Agree PBF has been taking a safe route. He's been picking fighters recently. But timing is everything and patience is a virtue. Hopkins proved that and I think PBF has all the skills and tools to be p4p greats.

I can agree with that, and like I said I am not saying that he doesn't have all the skills and tools to be p4p, I just don't see how he can be p4p right now based on his resume of the last couple of years, especially over a guy like Winky. Eventhough he got a draw with Taylor which he arguably won, but look at Winky's opposition.

These fighters werent calling out Floyd like Marg is, and at that point, Floyd wasnt numbner 1 p4p.
Marg has absolutly no credibility if he believes he actully deserves a fight with Floyd.
          His resume sucks.
Why doesnt he just take on a big name and get this bull**** over with?

I dont agree at all. The guys he wants to fight dont want to fight him or have some other excuse. what is he supposed to do not fight? He takes the best option available to him.

At 135 like I said previously the only fight that probably could have happened that he didn't take was the Lazcano fight and that didn't make sense to me. Spadafora and Dorin didnt want the fights.

So he moved up to 140 took a belt from Gatti. The other 2 guys Cotto and Hatton didn't want the fight after watching Gatti get the worse one sided beating of his life. They were the two only real big/tough fights at 140 after Gatti.

At 147 he wanted the undisputed Champ, Zab screwed it up he couldnt find a replacement so he fought Zab anyway.

Now he had several names in his hat for his Nov 4th date and made a great choice in fighting Baldi for the linear ww championship. How Baldi, a man who walks around at 185-90lbs while floyd walks around at 145-49lbs is not going to be a tough fight is beyond me. Baldi should be just as tough a fight as a Marg fight. It's a bigger stronger man vs a little guy. Gatti and Judah sure didn't fare well against him.

I see Margarito as a tougher opponent than Baldomir just because Antonio's the younger fighter and naturally a quicker puncher..

I'm one of the ones that's much more pleased with this Baldomir fight being made, in light of speculation of a fight with Spinks..

On to the other point i wanted to make about this thread, regardless of whether or not the "top" competition "doesnt want to fight him or has some other excuse", he still hasn't fought them yet, in otherwords, if you're putting Mayweather ahead of Wright P4P wise at this point, it's basically on speculation alone (or your just a Mayweather-head).

We will see how long Mayweather remains P4P King..............considering Floyd beats Baldomir, Floyd would be faced to fight top leave competition ( i.e. Miguel Cotto, Kassim Ouma, Paul Williams, Riviera or someone on that level.......not to mention Mosley or DLH ) so if you ask me PBF is the one that needs to enjoy the P4P recognition now because I seriously doubt a year from now he is still recognized as the P4P King. And to be honest I feel Winky Wright is the P4P King. I will make the arguement who has PBF fought that was a tough apponent other that Castillo, Corrales, *Gatti and Judah? Just for the record I am not a "Mayweather Hater", I just want to see PBF fight high caliber apponents........I know that boxing is a business of making smart decisions, but if you are going to talk the talk of being the greatest.......LOL..........then fight the best thats out there.

why dosent floyd just fight him, take the $8 mil and get it over with? its not like he hasnt fought worse fighters than tony... tony would be floyd's biggest challenge in 3 years...
