Are rematch clauses a con? Cowardly? Should they work both ways?

    There's always that possibility of losing a close decision or even a robbery.

    Imagine a fighter getting robbed, and then his opponent ducks and avoids a rematch at all costs while celebrating and bragging about how he won.

    It's just a smart business decision. I think a lot of top champions have rematch clauses in most if not all their fights.

      I've never cared much for them. Smoke them the first fight and you won't need a rematch. Simple.
