Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: There's No Rematch Clause In Contracts For Lomachenko Fight

Whoever wins the Vasiliy Lomachenko-Teofimo Lopez fight won't owe his opponent a rematch. Lopez confirmed during a recent appearance on the DAZN/SiriusXM "Ak And Barak Show" that there is not a rematch clause in the contracts for their lightweight title unification fight. Ukraine's Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) and Brooklyn's Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs) are scheduled to meet October 17 in a 12-round main event ESPN will air from MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

No rematch means loma’s people not remotely concerned about losing. But they’d be better served approaching this fight with caution. He’s got enough power and precision to be a real threat

Bumochenko will still be the 'French-Fries' WBC chumpion after Teofimo knocks him out, that's the reason.

I agree on all points. Clearly Loma is super confident going into his fight.

He’d better be careful though, because this fight could end quickly w Teos power.

Loma is either over confident or maybe is planning to retire if he fails. Hopefully he isn't hiding anything from us.

            Why would there be?
Couldn't even reach an agreement with this fight,
got nearly killed because of greed and fear of losing.
Talking about the rematch would have just complicated things even more.
Lomachenko needs to humiliate this greedy clown.

There won't be any need for a rematch after Lomachenko takes care of Talkafimo.
