Damn man. You’re really really really dumb. The video clearly stated that DAZN was looking to cut Alvarez pay by 50 percent, but he was only willing to go as low as 30 percent. I’m black, so I don’t speak Spanish, but the text was in plain English and the video was only 30 seconds.

As a boxing fan who has read through several articles that are explaining the in and out of this lawsuit.... I only understand like 10% of it. It is written in hard legal talk and pages and pages of attacks only a lawyer can understand. That on the surface tells me one of two things:

Canelo is angling for more control over who he fights than this contract gives him. If that is it, and he is fine with what he is getting paid, this will be worked out by the end of the year and Canelo will get last word on his oppinents.

Or, Canelo wants out. If so, this may be all we see of Canelo for a long while.

Ultimately, Carnelo was always in control of who he fights and for what money. It's the main reason he signed - guaranteed pay to fight who he chooses.

DAZN is trying to put things back to the "usual" way it's done, which is to pay based on the return, which is calculated by the interest in the proposed fight. Which is based on the perceived risk.

That's fine - when there's not a contract saying something else.

The point of the b.s. lawsuit was to buy this little diva enough time for COVID-19 to blow over so that fans an media won't question why he's not fighting this year on a discount. By the time the "lawsuit" is resolved, the pandemic will be over and fans will be back.
