If that happens i'm gonna feel bad for Fury because this fight isnt even neccessary, hes won like 15 of a combined 19 rounds so far for ****s sake.
The difference is he knows Fury can hurt him now though. It doesn't really matter if a guy punches harder than me if I can still knock him out. Fury showed he knows how to prevent Wilder from setting him up, which he's never really known how to do, its just he usually had such superior height and reach to the guys he's thought, he could land from range in safety.

Happy to see him in good shape and new coach. Fury may have a few things to worry

While lacking certain technical boxing fundamentals at elite level I believe Wilder's biggest problems coming into this bout are more mental.

1st time around Fury seemed the perfect cherry pick, big name, even bigger money and Fury was (by his own admission post-fight around 50%) overweight and ring rusty. I've no problem at all with Wilder thinking he was going to win that fight convincingly by KO.

2nd time around, after he knew he was fortunate to keep the belt after losing 10 rounds he had doubts written all over his face and body language. Fury had refused an immediate rematch and was arguably at 90% and still growing into the Kronk style. Wilder clearly had serious doubts about winning that fight given the first result and the additional time Fury had to prep.

3rd time around after the one-sided beatdown, Wilder has been humbled and humiliated and those doubts (in my opinion) have manifested into sheer disbelief. He's also seen Fury staying in shape, being positive and still looking to improve. At this point I think Wilder just doesn't believe he can beat Fury due to all of the above. Wilder's confidence against Fury is shot and I think his character needs more assurances than relying on one big right hand. Just my thoughts btw.

This sounds like desperate spin trying to convince us all he’s in great physical and mental shape.,
I imagine him in full Howard Hughes recluse mode, locked away with a beard touching the floor, 6 inch toenails and tissue boxes for shoes. All his time spent scrawling increasingly implausible excuses on the walls with his own faeces.

Doesn’t really matter what shape he gets in, they’re still levels apart in ability

Also fighters who built their reputation on being a puncher and fearsome are never quite the same after they get beaten.

As long as Fury doesn’t underestimate Wilder due to the ease he beat him and drop his level, then it’ll just be another annihilation. Fury won’t do that though, The best thing that could’ve happened to him was getting dropped in the first fight.

The quiet version speaks loudest. He is either completely focused and putting his nose to the grind stone to get his belt back OR he is still in shock and disbelief that he was beaten the way he was. I have a feeling its probably focus that's keeping him quiet. The dude knows how to come back from a loss. He lost in the Olympics and managed to win a world title and defend it 10 times. Silence can be deafening sometimes.
