Why is Winky looking at 154-pounders all of a sudden!?!?

Considering that most people are suppsoed to have thought that he beat the UNDISPUTED middleweight champion in his last fight, there has appeared a short list of fighters that Winky Wright is apparently looking at for a fight later this year:

    Kassim Ouma
    Javier Castillejo
    Ike Quartey

What is the deal with that and why is nobody getting on Wright's case for fighting those guys when he's supposedly an established middleweight now?

Because the middle weight division is weak now. Only big name there is Taylor. Everyone else is still unproven.

Maybe he wants a fight against PBF, out of DLH & Mosley I'd rather see him fight Wright at 154, if anyone can beat Wright convincingly it would be Mayweather, & and IMO out of the fighters that could beat Mayweather, Wright is at the top of my list.

I wouldn't mind seeing him take on Ouma.He probadly couldn't hurt Kassim, and it would be interesting to see him deal with the constant pressure. But then again,he handled Soliman's pressure.

          Exactly!

And Wright already expressed that he does not want to fight Taylor in a re-match

Wright-Taylor was a very close fight and just walking away from the rematch is like saying, I did my best, but **** it. they screwed me and I am not interested.

Plus, Wright is good, but he is not anywhere near big enough to walk away from the middleweight championship. That title has serious lineage.

BTW, Castillejo looked muy dangerous last time out and Sturm was thoroughly whipped. He may be under the radar, but when Castillejo prepares, he's handy.

i wouldn't mind seeing wright-ouma/quartey. they both would have a real good chance of winning. with ouma he throws alot of punches and no matter how good your defence is punches are going to get in and with quartey it would be a jab fest so that's a toss up but interesting.

Winky isn't getting any younger and after the Taylor fight, his face looked like he got hit by a bus a couple of times. Maybe he feels more suited to 154 and will stay there for the rest of his career.
