    Javier Castillejo
    Ike Quartey

What is the deal with that and why is nobody getting on Wright's case for fighting those guys when he's supposedly an established middleweight now?
For the same reason he ran away on the last rd, and wouldn't give Taylor a rematch. He knows Taylor is the king of the division and he can't take him at that weight.

you make it sound like taking on Ouma would be a walk in the park... basically all three of those guys are solid... also, those aren't the only three fighters Wright has said he's interested in fighting

OMG .. get your facts straight.. in those two sentences, you have three things wrong, Wright didn't run in the last round, he's said he wants a rematch, and Taylor is not the king in the division, Wright is currently #1-#2 P4P, Taylor may still have the titles, but there's a real #1 middleweight, period..

Theres no big fights at middle. The money is at Junior Middle.
The list goes on...Ouma, Quartey , Castillejo, Forrest, DLH , even PBF.

I'd like to see Ouma get a shot. This is a hard fight to predict for me. Wright throws crips shots through an airtight defence and Ouma throws a billion punches a round...

I would favor Wright obviously but when Ouma is gonna probably double your punch output how can you not score the fight in his favor.

AGAIN.. you obviously don't watch enough boxing (or pay attention) if you consider any of those three "easy"...

            let's review:

Castillejo's last fight as a middleweight, he beat Felix Sturm to win a 10th round TKO

Quartey just had a great showing against Forrest

and Ouma's IMO, the best at 154 as Ouma, other than his loss to Karmazin last year when he was sick, hasn't lost since 1999

the fact that Wright's even considering these three in the mix, where it's basically all risk-no reward, should garner him even MORE respect

              Lol!!! my latest rep:

Why is Winky looking at... 08-15-2006 03:43 PM restless_438 wow.... get your facts straight

Dude, next time you watch a Winky fight make sure you pull Winky's jock down just a little so you can uncover your eyes and watch the fight. He did the same **** against Vargas and it also cost him the fight. I guess some guys never learn. When you're in an up for grabs fight YOU NEED TO FIGHT 'TIL ITS OVER!!!

Ok, so explain to me why the list if fighters qualify as ones that Wright should fight.

Ouma - recently beaten by Karmazin at 154.
Castillejo - A serious step back since he was beaten by VARGAS not long ago whom Wright has a serious beef with; no point chasing that dog around.

Quartey - Five years out of the game and beaten by Forrest at 154.

Wright is at a stage of his career where he needs to look at legacy fights, not just those that will make money.

                    Taylor is legacy.

He has no choice but to fight at 154. Jermain Taylor is a protected fighter, the first win against hopkins was and still is disputed, he lost to Hopkins the second time but got the decision and he definitely lost to Winky and once again was handed the decision. Even Ring magazine piuts Winky ahead of Taylor and their alot more reputable that the TV/Cable driven ratings the WBC, WBO & IBF have. Jermain may turn out to be a great champion but he has to honestly start REALLY beating fighter and not simply be handed decisions because he's HBO's new money fighter.
