Yeah brother but it shows you how much of boxing star Canelo really is. He needs to do cross over fights or novelty fights in order to generate that $$$.

Canelo can’t sell for ****. He needed Mayweather,cotto,GGG and even Chavez jr in order to get those PPV numbers he had for those fights.

Your ethnicity or nationality should mean nothing when it comes to opportunity. Boxing or any other profession should be a meritocracy. The fact that you’d back anyone who shares your lineage is tribalism at its finest, that sort of insular thinking is exactly why certain ethnic groups on average remain stagnant when climbing the socioeconomic ladder. Anything that is contra to group think is condemned, that dangerous belief is why insular communities usually don’t possess varied professions or occupy a larger space in higher tax brackets.
