Let's be honest here. This turkish guy is #1 just bcs he's a PBC guy. If this was Hearn's fighter, he wouldn't be even in WBC's top 15.

And this is why they are filing this emotional thing with GBP/DAZN and getting it wrong. GBP needs to sit down with Canelo, instead of oscar saying positive things about Canelo to the media and then Canelo coming out the very next day to debunk whatever Oscar says. He canelo also needs to take more control and see what he signed with GBP. At this stage of his career does he really need a promoter? He could do a Mayweather, an oscar, a cotto etc

I think part of the problem is how off the rails Oscar has been in recent years and for a time off the scene and in rehab .Canelo is obviously embarrassed by this but as the late promoter Micky Duff once said about Lloyd Honyghan 'it's not in the contract that we have to like each other'....easier said than done I suppose.

I don't know where this fixation with Yildirim comes from, the only reason I even know him was because he got smashed up by Eubank Jr. in the WBSS, and it looked like a total mismatch even before he got flattened. The only wins on his record over people with any name value whatsoever are old wins over an ancient Glen Johnson and Marco Antonio Periban, and those were pedestrian UD wins. The fact that this guy's name is in anybody's mouth has to be a sign that palms are being greased somewhere.
