I think they don’t count newspaper decisions or something like that.

Everyone knows my thoughts on Boxrec...

I think they basically acknowledge that it's an enormous undertaking and they're constantly making updates and so on. Whilst I've never actually done it myself I think you can post on their 'Queries and updates' forum if you believe their records are incomplete or innaccurate to inform 'em. In fact since you have another fairly reputable source to refer to I'd imagine they would be only too happy for you to let them know, although it could be a while before they get round to adding the data.

EDIT: Mmmm. I kinda missed your point about the number of losses not matching the numbers at the top of his record, but scanning down them I'm noticing that of his losses only 3 of them are by judges decsion or KO, with the remainder being NWS (Newspaper decisions)... I'm wondering if Boxrec have elected to disregard NWS as part of their official numbers or something... Would seem like a strange step. Let's compare to some of his opponents records and see...

OK Tommy Gibbons is recorded as having 4 losses, including one by KO, but if you check his record including his sole NWS he has 5 (his NWS loss came to Greb)

    https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/11254?offset=0

Looking at Greb we got 8 losses including 2 by KO, at the top. Running thrpough his record we got 8 if we discount NWS but 18 if we include em.

So yeah. Looks like Boxrec ain't including NWS in the official record numbers. Curious call, might be worth seeing whether they got any explanation.

EDIT: Ok so now we got this:

    https://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Newspaper_decision

So basically they're saying when there was no official winner Boxrec have not included the result on the official record... in effect the Newspaper results are included just for completeness.

    Oh, duh, y'all're right.

Seems a bit unfair to boxing as a style and boys from the west but what're ya gonna do?

Basically if you're from Cali, boxed rather than KO'd, and from an early era your record doesn't count.

    However

Those same exact fights ending in KOs would have.

Moaners always gonna moan, but Everyone in the boxing industry uses them.

They edit errors every day. CBZ? What, 1% the content of boxrec if even that.

    But moaners gonna moan...
Oh I see, apologize for my transgression.

You're such a weird prick Queen. Pointing out something odd on Boxrec is hardly crying. I didn't even contact them. Because it was nothing to contact them about. Making a thread to ask a question and keep track of future instances isn't exactly a vehement detraction from the Boxrec effort.

Cry me a ****ing river, people make mistakes, prick.
