I truly think Haney doesn't want the Russel Jr fight

Haney has the size but even 2 weight classes up I think GRJ would be entirely too much for him. GRJ is a talented fighter whether people like him or not. Haney may have the goods but he needs a few fights to season himself before he tries a seriously good experienced fighter.

Despite coming up 2 divisions, I still think GRJ could mess with Haney. Nobody on Haney's resume comes close to that skill level.

Gary is good but he is not anything special.

Devin is at least decent from what we can tell.

If they fought Devin would dominate Gary just based on the huge size difference. People don't seem to realize how little Gary is. I don't mean short either but just overall in stature. Gervonta is not much taller but he is a lot heavier naturally than Gary.

History will likely repeat itself being that Gary will talk a bunch of noise. Fight someone that everyone knows he is levels above and then fight again in a year. Gary stepped up once to fight Lomachenko, who turned out to be very impressive, and has not done it again since.
