Who're the next gen American heavyweights who will keep the US vs UK rivalry going?

The UK has Dubois and Adeleye who still have 10-15 yrs to give and I believe both will most likely end up as champs if they're managed the right way. Okolie isn't great and his style is boring but when he moves up - he'll be a handful with his reach/power, if he can take a punch and he's only 27.

So that's basically 3 Brits who would be in the top-5 or top-10 once the current champs retire in 3-5 yrs.

Who have the Americans got? This rivalry can't end with a total British domination and a good dance partner is needed.

Any clue? Don't include Ajagba - that man is at least 36 (his real age) and he's older than AJ and Fury. Hell, he's older than Wilder and he got his passport from Luis Ortiz's passport man. LMAO.

For you yanks I've heard good things about Jared Anderson so you might want to keep an eye on him.

Mike Tyson, returning next month, probably get a good 10 years of him.

LMAOOOOOO. The youngest ever champ can retire as the oldest ever champ.

Hopefully, the WBC can create a pension version of the WBC Belt for Mike Tyson vs Luis Ortiz!

Well Ajagba's technically Nigerian anyway, though I'm sure the Yanks will claim him... and I reckon he's got a few years left in him regardless.

Upcoming youngsters? Ain't looking great for the US unfortunately (and it is unfortunate cos it's great for getting eyes on the sport when the Yanks have got a few of the top big guys).

LDBC already mentioned Jared Anderson who's probably the most promising of the new generation, woulda maybe said Franklin too until his dire outing against Forrest... damn, beyond that I'd have to start doing some research... probably best to ask one of the US guys... bigzs like an effing walking boxing encyclopaedia, so maybe start there.

EDIT: List of US Heavies per Boxrec here... honestly you just gotta look at the ages, most of em well into their 30s already. Got a coupla unbeaten younger guys like Stephen Shaw and Darmani Rock who I'll have a little look into... Situation's no better at Cruiser either unfortunately, looking at guys who might be able to move up.

EDIT: Just been looking at the team USA ammys and their results and even there there's no real standouts in international terms:

            https://www.teamusa.org/usa-boxing/n...eams/elite-men

Richard Torrez Jr's probably the pick of the bunch, ranked #3 by AIBA and #2 by Boxrec, but as yet he's not made any real mark in terms of international comp.

I’d heard about him and then saw that Hatman made a video about him yesterday on YouTube

Will keep an eye on him

They yanks are already claiming but he's too slow, stiff, immobile and unskilled to make any noise. His chin is also suspect. They would need more than a guy who only knows how to throw 1-2 punch, to continue the rivalry and I'd bet on the carcass of Arreola to beat him.

What's Jared Anderson's amateur record and how old is he? But they still need more than one guy. Jared Anderson might be Gorman's level. And there's Frazer Clarke out there lurking as well. So they need more than one.

Kid's only 20 and he's a 2 time National champ but hasn't really got any international pedigree..

                  Partial ammy record here:

                  https://boxrec.com/en/amateurboxer/861332

It ain't on his Boxrec but per Strefa he got 5:0d in the 2017 Golden Gloves Quarterfinals by Torrez who I mention above.

In fact the more I look the more I reckon Torrez may be their best guy, if he turns pro and if he transitions well.

                  https://www.teamusa.org/usa-boxing/a...hard-Torrez-Jr

Only thing is a 6'2" he's just gonna struggle with the size of these big dudes.

No way but even a 2 year stint he’s going to be dangerous if he has that edge about him, he knocks out Whyte , Parker and Povetkin these types at least .
