Second of all, how is it automatic that the number 1 ranked fighter automatically gets the shot at the vacant belt? It would seem that’s what it’s supposed to be, but you know boxing don’t always works the way it’s supposed to. So with Your logic shouldn’t it have been automatically the number 1 ranked vs the number 2? Canelo was neither when he “petitioned” so stop phuck my hating with your dumb ass... just like the wbc selected canelo to fight for t he vacant strap, somebody who was t ranked in the top 2, they could of selected anyone else for it. Like I said he “petitioned” for the he Vacant belt, not the opponent stop hating with your hating ass
stop crying because I exposed what a moron you are. If Canelo really cared about the wbc belt, he would've made benavidez an offer but he/golden boy mentioned everyone's name with a belt except benavidez. He didn't want the smoke or any part of that belt until he was out of the picture. You can pretend that Canelo wasn't trying to find the easiest route to a title as he's done several times before, but those of us who don't have an undying love for him the way you do like a weirdo creep, know better.

except Canelo isn't #2, nor was he even ranked by the WBC at 168. He still isn't

Yildram was promised the fight with Benavidez next prior to Covid. I believe they let David take a tune up due to the pandemic, where he came in heavy against Angulo and got stripped. Yildram was still waiting in the wings up next. Number 2 with the WBC rankings is a fighter named Azuzbek Abdugofurov (Never heard of him) but with Canelo holding the franchise strap, he's able to petition to fight for any other WBC belt he wants to.

The issue I have with this is the fact that Canelo showed zero interest in fighting Benavidez (fight I would have loved) and even went far enough to say he would never fight another Mexican ever again, then the day after Benavidez was stripped, Canelo was suddenly interested.

The defendent claims this to be the case but the plaintiff claims this was not in his contract. I'm sure we'll find out eventually.
Blavatnik must be tiring off all his money going to waste on a flawed venture like DAZN. I doubt he's seen any return whatsoever up to this point.
Blavatnik is worth more than $30 billion... I guess he only bubbled DAZN and then planned to spin it off -- bad luck though...

damn you're dumb. He's wbc's favorite child and also as the wbc franchise champion at 160, he has the undeserving right to jump the line and get a title shot for their belt in another division if he wants to. That's how it works. He petitioned for the belt and knew exactly what opponent would come with it. Their # 1 ranked challenger. If they put Canelo against some other random opponent, they'd put themselves in a legal issue for not fulfilling their obligation to the #1 ranked contender. Do you even watch boxing??? Goofball. He wanted the easiest route to a belt, nothing new. Just like you shameless defending the f**kery like the groupie you are isn't anything new.
