Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia Wants Manny Pacquiao Showdown, Says Hearn

Former four division world champion Mikey Garcia is still pursuing the possibility of capturing a fifth divisional title, by facing WBA welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao. Promoter Eddie Hearn, who worked with Garcia (40-1, 30 KOs) on his last fight, has indicated that the once-beaten boxer is looking to get Pacquiao in the ring.

Gee, really? Haven't heard this one yet. (Sarcasm!).... I think EVERYONE would want Pacquiao at this point. Big money is nice these days.

        Mikey just wants the
golden $$$ Pacquiao ticket and, in the meantime, doesn't want to fight any other top welter that might jeopardize that . . .

Mikey's stock went way down with his dismal performance against Spence.I don't think Manny would be interested at this time as there's bigger fights out there.

Pac wont be fighting without a crowd or a HUGE guarantee in money. That dude dont gotta fight anymore I seriously think he still fights as a hobby nowadays. He damn sure dont need the money or legacy at this point

Mikey is still a big draw! AT&T Stadium was packed to see Mikey, not Spence! Manny was there, and he knows this! Manny even said he was there to see Mikey, not Spence! It would help if Mikey were to fight another Top WW in 2020, unfortunately MatchRoom doesn't have anything to offer Mikey! Amir Khan?

Strange career Mikey has had...all that time on the Top Rank shelf sapped some of his prime, and prevented him from big fights and big paydays that should have been fought against the best in his natural weight class. Now he's trying to play financial catch-up against bigger guys that he has slight chance of beating. (I think Manny still has enough to punish Mikey) I guess he could always wait for this young crop of lightweight blue-chippers to move to 140, but that could be a couple years away yet. Talk about a man without a division...
