Yes, it changes something. Name Margarito's claim to fame. A draw and a TD loss against Daniel Santos, beating a Kermit Cintron that came off surgery on both hands AND the longest inactivity stretch in his career, and beating a 6-heads Lewis that had been destroyed two fights earlier by Ricardo Mayorga. Don't get me wrong, I think Margarito is a good fighter but his last PPV generated a whoping 30K PPV buys.

Both of PBF's last PPVs generated over 350,000 buys (against Gatti and Judah). This card will generate at least that many. Against Margarito, I doubt he would've surpassed 225,000. Baldy has more of a name, he's the recognized champ at 147, and, IMHO, has a much better record than Margarito. Baldy hasn't lost in 9 years and, in that time, he's beat such fighters as Gatti, Judah, MA Rodriguez, and Joshua Clottey. He'll also attract the Argentina money which, if you know them at all, you know that the PPV numbers from Argentina will be close to 100K.

So, there is plenty of money to throw around. PBF makes is 8M, Baldy makes is 4M (he has stated numerous times that he's not fighting PBF for less than that), and the fans get the best available fight at 147 for PBF.

Baldo is one of the lightest punchers out there with a very low KO percentage. lols!

Blame the boxing media for not forcing Pretty Boy to fight Margarito or look like a bum- because they did not make it an all-or-nothing endevor for him. Blame the Mayweather fan base for not pushing their man to fight Antonio- for not seeing him as the only legitimate fight right now. Blame the casual boxing fan for not knowing who Antonio Margarito really is. Lastly, blame the Margarito fans for not being so numerous the fight between their man and Floyd was inevitable- like one with De la Hoya.
