The thing is, Canelo wants to be a total diva; he wants to pick all the fights on his own terms and have everything in his favour. Golden Boy have assisted in this greatly and now he's turning around and trying to sue them for "failing" to find him a fight for September 2020.

The issue is that DAZN are losing money with Canelo and Canelo is losing credibility. We're now fully aware of all the weight draining and other shenanigans that Canelo/GBP have been up to lately and unless he fights someone major DAZN won't commit to him.

Canelo can't speak English, he has no cross-over appeal outside of Latin and North America, there's a global pandemic going on, money is tight and Canelo still wants to fight over-the-hill weight drained fighters for $35,000,000? GTFO. DAZN won't be getting that much NEW subscribers to cover Canelo's purse. Most people just cancel after a month or two.
