Who would you choose as Cotto's opponent for his 147 debut?

For his debut at 147 on December 2nd…

I think that a good choice could be Oscar "El Torito" Diaz...

    - He's a paper champ, so it can be a 12 rounder.
    - 25-1-0 only loss to Ebo Elder.
    - Mexican vs. Puerto Rican.

    Any other thoughts?

        That depends...

are we choosing as if we were his promoter and/or HBO?

or just a casual fight fan?

i'm not really a fan of cotto, so i'm not interested in seeing him fight some unknown journeyman. whatever the outcome i wanna see him fight ricky hatton or zab judah or even luis collazo.

Why does Cotto keep moving up without fighting the best?

Judah would be a good fight.

I think HBO might be a little leery, given his last few bouts, to put him in with a legit Top 10 welter though...

Maybe a David Estrada or Jose Luis Cruz or Cosme Rivera

Collazo is fighting Oct. 7; less than 2 mos. before this one...

Hatton has a date reserved too for the 9th

                    Against who? My take

Floyds getting the WBC from Baldomir.

                    Cintron vs Suarez for IBF

                    Quintana vs Urkal for WBA

Margarito fighting a two year old mandatory, on undercard of Cotto

leaving out Cotto, Collazo, Judah, Williams, Joel Julio, and Hopkins. Ohhh, I hope he fights Hopkins cusin or whatever

I hope he fights Jose Castillo, or Hopkins. Belt wise if any the IBF or Mags belt, freeing Collazo for the other than he can try unificating with Mayweather. Hopefully its true that Margarito wants Rivera, so he can move up and vacate his belt.
