  • Comments Thread For: Top Rank Extends Agreement With HearMeCheer Through October

The relationship between Top Rank and HearMeCheer-a state-of-the-art audio broadcast app that streams live fan cheers into venues and televised sporting events-will now extend through the end of October, the two companies recently announced. The relationship began with the infancy of Top Rank's summer boxing series, live on ESPN from the MGM Grand Conference Center ("The Bubble") and will continue into the heart of Top Rank's upcoming boxing schedule.

This “app” is a gimmick, and this is the worst type of propaganda to help the owners of this app make huge deals with other clients.

I’ve heard the ESPN audio as many of you have, even the PBC audio, but those are all previously recorded audio from venue setups the way Hollywood or TV do it.

The audio we’ve been hearing sounds clean, pro, and an ambience from real venue reverb. There’s no way in hell HearMeCheer receives individual feeds from “users” using “mics” to then relay to ESPN to recreate authentic venue sounds.

Get the fook out of hear with these lies. These goons should just keep their practices a secret. No need to sell these lies. The protocol for each user would require serious pro audio gear and restrictions upon use. All that to help ESPN for what? Ridiculous propaganda

I like PBC. Their sound mixers to recreate the live scenario is good. Mike Montero and Breadman were speaking about it recently and PBC does it the best. They’re all prerecorded sounds and mixed and timed right during the fight. It’s very awkward since realistically the triggers are subjective.

For example what if the sound guy keeps pressing the button for whenever Devry hits Charlo with the crowd going wild yet when Charlo hits back there’s dead silence! Lol

Yeah, PBC was first with that so other places like DAZN and BT Sports likely will do it as well!

I think it will be the other way around for Charlo-Dervyachenko, whenever Charlo lands the crowd goes wild while if Dervyachenko lands the crowd will be quiet unless he drops or knocks out Charlo!

It’s a great idea but for me it’s still ****** to not allow fans when in other countries they’ve allowed fans at events and no problems have arise and then the NFL is planning to have fans!

****** and inconsistent all around IMO!

              I hate hearmecheer

I rather listen to the cornermen and trainers talk. The pumped in noise is crap.

As I’m hearing all the “crowd cheering” it’s reminiscent of these sports video games. It’s too fake and you know it’s fake because the fight can be boring and you’re still gonna hear cheering when in reality you would hear booing

Not a fan of the canned noise. It's more of a distraction than anything.
