  • Comments Thread For: Spence: Accident Change My Perspective, Not Take Boxing And Life Overall For Granted

For someone who has never lost and is generally regarded among the very best in the world pound-for-pound, Errol Spence Jr. has been forced to endure a long climb back to the top. The fall from grace took place far from the ring, when a horrific single-car crash last October left the unbeaten Texan injured and hospitalized. It took several months for Spence (26-0, 21KOs) to feel like his old self again, though the rehabilitation process was humbling to say the least.

If Errol Spence stayed in fighting shape all the time he would one hell of a force in boxing. He has all the goods just balloons up in between fights and that's gonna catch up to him quick

Personally I don't think Spence has changed a single bit.

If he can get away with his lifestyle between training camps for a few years then that's his call.

But in a stacked division that is a very ****** and ignorant choice to make IMO.

This just goes to further prove,

Not all he people around you are good for you! I wouldn’t be in a sport like boxing without understanding what has happened in the pass to others could surly happen to me. Gerald McClellan comes to mind. Do to boxing trauma and a promoter who didn’t give a dam about his well being. So my thoughts for anyone in a contact sport would be to have insurance just because it’s the smart thing to do because we can’t predict the future. Also get some intelligent people in your circle so after boxing you are stable as well.

spence trying his best to do a kell brook, derail his career all by himself

self-inflicted damage, he could have killed someone, not just himself, he's lucky he's not facing jail time for that stunt

It's nice to see that he is growing up. He is not a kid any longer. He is 30 years old with two small children. He is a family man whether he wants to be or not.

So it's time for him to start acting like one and mature and start setting a good example for his daughters. He needs to start thinking, providing and spending more time with them rather than himself.

So they can grow up to become successful adults someday.
