Why Canelo fans pretend like Canelo is on higher level than GGG

It's easy to 'step up' and make fights (and get fights made) when you're the super A side who calls all the shots and pays everyone very well for their troubles (and pays them for the loss if it is at all close). To argue against that is supreme fan-boy BSComment

Head to head, I’d say ggg is on a higher level. He arguably beat a peak canelo twice while in his mid 30’s and clearly past his peak. It’s clear who would have come out on top prime for prime. Canelo has accomplished more on paper tho.Comment

Yeah, you're never going to convince me that Golovkin always took the best fights he could.Comment

That's not really my intention...and if 'taking the best fights you can' means giving away all leverage in negotiations (on money and weight) then yeah maybe GGG could have fought a few more top guys like Ward, Lara, Froch, Cotto and maybe Sergio. But I think GGG was always fair enough in negotiations.
I would have liked to have seen him move up to 168 but all of his big (money) fights were at 160 or below. The two money fights he tried to make above that weight vs Froch and Chavez never happened because the reward wasn't worth the risk for those guys. If Froch is telling the truth that GGG wanted him at 166 instead of '68 though then I would put that on GGG. But I can't take anything Froch says seriously.
No one else of that type of status seemed even remotely interested in fighting GGG until Canelo finally stepped up.Comment

That’s nice! Canelo paid him to act like a betch while fans see and acknowledge that the Mexican is the better fighter. That’s what happens when creep around 160 your whole life while claiming 154-168 was easy!
GGG was a fraud to his fans.
