Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson: After Viral Training Video - I Was in Bed For a Week

During a recent interview with Joe Rogan, former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson reflected on what led to his planned in-ring return on November 28. Tyson, 54-years-old, was scheduled to return this month in a bout with former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. Their contest will be carried on pay-per-view.

Always refreshing to hear Iron Mike's humility, and honesty.

Damn straight being in shape in and being in condition are twp different things. Strength and conditioning training for a fight hurts so much you wonder...

This is very sad to hear. Tyson's last few fights were complete embarrassments, over fifteenth years ago! .He could hurt the now old, smaller and chiny Jones but says he has plans to fight more after this 'fight'. This should not be allowed and he should stick to his fifteen minute treadmill exercise to fit his clothes.Who ever see's a positive out come in two guys with a joint age of well over a hundred years 'fighting' must be truly off their rockers!

Credit to Tyson, I think a lot of his fanbase needed to read this. The whole comeback story needed a big dose of reality for those getting carried away.

I think it's great, this guy can never embarrass himself too many times for my entertainment.

I just hope he has the guts to face Evander again instead of picking on the porcelain chinned LHW.

Lol...Evander always had and will always have the beating of Mike hence the reason Mike does this....It's getting like a scene from the movie 'cocoon'!

Shout out to Mike for respecting today’s generation and allowing himself to humble himself to let today’s fighter have their shine!

He’s saving face by saying how his body aches so much and talks like a newbie about training when in facts he knows all about it so acts affable to try not to discourage today’s heavyweights!

He knows if he comes back an if he’s at even 40% of what he was then then they’re all getting knocked the fûçk out!

Look at what 40+ year old Povetkin did and 43+ Sergio Martinez did!

Mike knows he could easily take these guys but will allow them to have their spotlight, what a hero Tyson is!
