He quit. Plain and simple. This is what passes for a world champion these days.

Darn, I missed the main event. I fell asleep. These online pay per view cards are too long. This card reminded me so much of those Matchroom USA cards on DAZN. They will feature a minimum of at least eight bouts on their under cards before they show the main event.

Coach Brian "BoMac" McIntyre performance in Jamel's corner was embarrassing and alarming. During the break leading up to the eighth round, BoMac was in a panic ; soliciting Tony Weeks for advise when Weeks pressed Herring's corner to decide if he could continue.

Bomac, told Jamel that he was going to lose his title if he did not come out for the eighth ; the opposite was true. Coach BoMac's unawareness of the Unified Rules of Boxing and Nevada championship safety protocols shocked me! This is the man that is suppose to represent and guide the #1 P4P boxer in the world, Terence 'Bud' Crawford.

Considering the fact that Bomac has been in traveling to Las Vegas working Crawford's corner since 2012, what excuse does Coach BoMac have for Jamel for his ignorance?

Moving on, I did not know if I should laugh or feel disgust, that Tony Weeks finally stops a championship fight due to a 'intentional-foul' that caused a eye injury , considering that this is the ref that has been involved in the most recent negligible performance involving far greater grotesque cuts ; namely : Tyson Fury vs. Otto Wallin and Marcus Browne vs. Badou Jack.

#1 Don't intentional fouls come with two-point deductions? Why did Weeks wait until the round was over to deduct a point and why did he only deduct one? Was the headbutt intentional? Probably. Was it egregious? I didn't think so. Andre Ward made a career out of it.

#2 If you say you can continue in the 5th round after an intentional foul, you forfeit your ability to use that foul as a reason to stop the fight. The reason for that is you've confirmed your ability to continue, so if you become unable to do so at a future point, it is based on the damage you took afterwards, which was deemed legal damage by the referee from that point.

Cashtro, I don't know what you're feeling or thinking because I've not been in that situation, but I've seen many fighters get to the mental crossroads you're at. Cotto hit that same point before getting stopped by Sadam Ali and decided to do what was right for his family long before that fight.

So I'm not going to tell you what to do. But if you do go into the Frampton fight already committed to leaving the business, it's not going to end well. You know you have to be in the right place mentally.

Manny went through a similar rough fight and he came out alright. They happen.

Take your own measure, I'm just saying, if you're serious about fighting Frampton, get your mind right, don't let that outcome bother you, don't let fans accusing you of whatever bother you. Focus on your craft and do what you need to do. You're the champ. That's what champs do.

                      Herring lacks power

Despite his height he is not really a constant mover either. Its not hard to drag him into inside exchanges. And frampton is a good body puncher so thatll take herrings legs away early

Probably frampton late stoppage if im honest

I like herring too but he is talking about retirement after frampton and that is never a good sign
