Not a fan of the term duck unless there is proof one way or the other. The Bowe Lennox fiasco was a blight on the div. AJ vs Fury/Wilder can still happen. Them fighting isn't the same as Bowe vs Lennox.

Bowe didn't "duck" Lewis. You don't know the facts and the urban legend has grown from something completely different.

What happened was, that Bowe had a very dedicated manager named Rock Newman, who did everything, far better than a father, to make Bowe's career a great success. They were both very hot tempered, like John Ruiz' manager Norman Stone.. But Jose Suleman who was Don King's servant, tried to persuade Bowe to use King as his promoter. Newman, told him to go to hell-and worse, so there was very bad blood between them.. Bowe, as WBC champ, was fighting Holyfield, with the winner to fight Lewis. .Suleiman then did a scam by placing Razor Ruddock, already a double victim of Mike Tyson, who was lower. up to the #1 spot and he fought Lewis, which potentially would have lost Bowe (and Newman who got a third) millions. .

Ruddock was KO'd in the beginning of the 2nd rd. . So Newman and Bowe had a HUGE row with Suleiman, which went on and on, and as a protest they stamped off and Bowe threw the WBC belt in the garbage can to show his disregard for Suleiman's belt.
      This happened in London.

It had nothing to do with Bowe ducking Lewis at all. Lewis at all. Bowe, in his prime at that stage, would have slaughtered Lewis who was still slowing maturing into a great boxer..

You just can't let go the urban legend. It's a fake I tell you. I KNOW. I was around boxing at that time and there was almost mayhem going on between Rock Newman and Jose Suleiman. The whole system was corrupt and Suleiman was OWNED by Don King.

Show me something that would prove what you are so keen to assert. PROOF.

I've given you proof, which research will show, is exactly what happened. There was a very long post, which took up a whole page on BoxingScene, some years back, in around 2009 explaining the whole Bowe-Lewis thing, and it basically agreed with what I've just written

Since it actually is a matter of Great Interest and I'm sure many poster would like to see it all laid out, so why not contact the Boxing Scene Management, and get them to reprint it...then send me an apology. No point in you and I arguing.

Listen, here's what we do know

Lewis murked Bowe in the olympics

As a professional Bowe wanted NO PART of lewis

Bowe got beaten up by bum golota which is what he's most remembered for

Lewis is remembered as ATG 1 or 2 head to head

Bowe is a brain dead broke idiot

            That's what we do know.

That's the whole point of this discussion. You say "Here's what we know" I say, you DON'T know. In fact in that seminal article in Boxingscene 2009, the Olympic fight was described, and Bowe gave Lewis a tremendous beating in rd 1, and the fight could have been stopped. Then the ref took a point away from Bowe for an invisible reason. Lewis came out fighting in rd 2 and landed a few good punches because he lost the 1st rd. The ref stopped the fight.. Bowe was unhurt.

You have posted many thousands of times on here, and I am only beginning again after an 8=9 year absence, because I got fed up with the rubbish. and filth. so you likely know the Moderators and publishers. Ask them to reprint that 2009 account of the whole situation as is ACTUALLY happened. The report was so precise and meticulous that it must have been done by an investigative reporter.

In fact I'm going to try, myself, although I don't know how to contact them about it.

                    It was a frame-up
