Comments Thread For: Moloney Confident: Inoue Can Be Hit, Can Be Hurt, Can Be Beaten!

When bantamweight contender Jason Moloney takes on unified titleholder Naoya Inoue, the Japanese star universally regarded as one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world, he will surely be a heavy underdog. But Moloney believes he has what it takes to dethrone "The Monster."

    Sure.

The problem comes when the daylight breaks and you have to get up from bed.

Everybody says all that stuff until they get hit by him. Donaire's size is what mainly allowed him to do the type of damage he did to Inoue along with his speed and power. Moloney doesn't have the type of ability Donaire has to even trouble Inoue. Don't see him being competitive with Inoue at all.

Casimero arranged a fight with someone else (Duke Micah), which left Inoue looking for a new dance partner...enter Moloney.

Can't see Moloney doing too well vs Inoue. Hopefully Inoue and Casimero get it on later as Casimero/Inoue has potential to be a great fight.

The right hand is the best tool against the 'Monster' Naoya Inoue. Jason Maloney has a strong active cross and looping right, he recently did some serious damage on Leonardo Baez with it.

Jason, has a higher work-rate than Nonito Donaire, good defense, quick feet and appears to have a good chin. I think Jason has attributes that can provide us a competitive fight and possibly present Naoya a stiff test.

Naoya Inoue, has already done the scouting for Moloney during the WBSS bantamweight tourney, as Inoue was in attendance for Manny Rodriguez vs. Jason Maloney for the quarter-finals in Orlando Florida, in 2018.

Manny Rod, defeated Jason Maloney that night by split-decision, and was considered a live-dog going into the semi-finals. However, he got blown away in the second round. I'm thinking that Jason does a lot better than his conqueror -- I would be shocked if Inoue does Moloney in 1 round like he did Juan Carlos Payano. But now I'm just ranting, you read this far, HA!
