Comments Thread For: Isaac Chamberlain: I'd Like Another Explosive, Spectacular Knockout

Putting his signature to a long-term deal with manager-promoter Mick Hennessy should finally provide the structure for Brixton cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain to fulfil his unquestionable ability. Hot off a knockout victory just under two weeks ago, Chamberlain makes a quick return to action this Saturday night in Wakefield when he takes on Matt Senn, live on free-to-air Channel 5.

This guy , who's got all the tools to mix with the elite, sounds good. It's funny, because there's another guy with the same name who boxes at the same weight. He was so bad the last time I saw him against Lawrence Okolie, he actually caused me to fall asleep in the fight, the first and only time I've ever done that. But luckily it's obviously not the same guy.

I didn't see the matchup but didn't Chamberlain bust up his knee early in the fight against Okolie? I feel like every Okolie fight is sleep-inducing and it sounds like Chamberlain didn't help matters.

I didn't know that about the knee. Believe me, I blame Lawrence too, he's in alot of stinkers. I was really looking forward to that fight, because of the build up. But Issac didnt take a single chance to go for it in that one. It was just so bad lol.

It was woeful. Especially with all the needle before the fight.

I sort of felt he didnt wanna get knocked out in the end because he would have been embarrassed by it.

Easy for me to say of course but I bet he regrets it a bit. But he has that relaxed style and is rhythm athlete. He just couldn't switch gears.

He looked comfortable avoiding big damage. A bit like Hughie Fury

WBC title? Ambition is a good thing, but this bloke needs to prove himself at domestic level. Let's see how he'd get on with current British champion Richard Riakporthe & take it from there!

Yeah, he clearly felt Okolies power, i guess its easier to live down a stinker than a knockout loss. But it's gonna be a while before I can get excited to see him again.
