Maybe 5 years ago and before the Golovkin beat down, Brook v Crawford might have been a competitive fight.
I always liked Kell but he's 34 and been in too many wars. I hope he's making good money cause this is probably his retirement fight, a la Kovalev.

does crawford not realize that shawn porter has 5 guys on his resume better than his best win?

ive always liked bud and i still do...but hes becoming delusional...and probably reading too many press clippings and p4p rankings....hes getting by and getting a pass on the eye test....and people are lauding and hailing him for doing pretty minimal work....he seems content with all of this...i believe he really believes his own bull at this point...his resume flat out is not good and anyone should be able to see that...it doesnt show any signs of getting better either

he flat out refused to call team porter and shot down the fight....and if keith did ask for 10 mil why didnt crawford contact them first with an offer? why didnt he counter keiths offer with something reasonable?...he loves the myth that the pbc is ducking him....they love shouting pbc fighters names when they think they wont respond or acknowledge crawford

Yet BoxingScene just put up an article with quotes from Brook that both Arum AND Crawford were "up for it"

Major news outlets are reporting that a deal is close.

So who's lying? Signs point to BoMac.

But then why would Crawford allow his guy to go out and straight up lie about it? Unless Crawford was in on the lie and blowing smoke against the mirrors while calling out top names.
It just shows that neither BoMac or Crawford are In Charge. So they jump out and say one thing in the media but then have to now comeback and build up Kell Brook to sell this fight after kinda dismissing him publicly

At this point he needs to go make big fights. He could fight Porter right now. Maybe if Ugas wins he could fight him. Take a Pacquiao fight. And maybe for once take the low money to get where you claim you want to be

The thing is, this is now the SECOND time this happened. TheBoxingVoice guys even called BoMac out on it and he stuttered his way past the answer.

Crawford has decent wins, very underwhelming resume though. Gamboa, Khan, Postol, Beltran and Horn are the biggest names on his resume.

He tries to defend his wins by saying who became champion after he beat them, without putting it into context.

For example who Beltran beat for his belt, and who Burns beat for his belt.

Burns beat an unknown fighter, Michele Di Rocco, for a vacant title AKA a title that was handed over to Burns. Burns lost the paper title vs the next decent fighter he fought.

Beltran beat an old Moses Paulus for a vacant title and immediately lost it vs Pedraza right after that fight.

The way he says it, you would think Burns and Beltran went on legendary title runs in which they defeated a slew of top ranked fighters.

That's what happens when you're under Bob Arum though.

Remember Arum said Mosley was done after the Mora fight in 2010, and then Mosley all of a sudden became a good fight for Pacquiao back in 2011 when he became old enough for Roach to stop being scared of him like he was in 2009.

When you're in Top Rank you have to master the art of flip flopping as a boxer.
