I’ve not seen anyone give Porter a sound beating 2bf!

If he can recapture any of the form he had prior to Spence and Golovkin then I reckon he's got a chance. Crawford showed he can handle big welterweights against Horn and Benavidez but neither of those had as sharp a punch as Brook had. That said, all of this is contingent on Brook making weight, which I'm not sure he can do.

Brook was a class act but can’t help but feel this fight is a bad move!

Amazing opportunity for Brook. Meh fight for Crawford, who should be fighting other A- level players in the division. And we all know who'll win this one.

Who has soundly beaten Porter though? Beatable but nobody really looks great doing it.

I think its fair to say had Brook not made certain career choices, he would’ve been right in the mix at the very top of the division

At least we can’t question his balls anyway

Exactly. DSG gave Porter a good fight as well. It was a good win for Brook.

Prior to Porter, mostly a bunch of used up has beens.

Porter is a gatekeeper. Brook edged it out. DSG not so much.

Brook is finding notable opponents late in his career and at the wrong weight.

You're right, I'm not making out Porter to be some kind of yardstick but his style is almost impossible to look good against. Brook's timing was spot on that night, you could even see the surprise on Porter's face when he was getting caught flush as he jumped in.

Seemed to be in the 'who needs him' club from there on in which is a shame as the money was there via the UK PPV to fight Cotto, Garcia, Thurman etc. What happened regarding GGG and then weight draining for Spence (both in respective primes) shows how desperate he got. In fact this showdown now with Crawford in his prime is also an act of desperation.

Again, completely agree. Loved watching him take that little step back and time those straight rights down the pipe. Top drawer.
