Calling up a former Bantamweight is not starting off on a good foot.

Leo Santa Cruz ducked the trilogy with Car Frampton and never wanted anything to do with Guillermo. Nevertheless, Gervonta Davis is a real player and more relevant today, Leo Santa Cruz is achieving more by facing Davis on PPV. This is a legacy defining fight for both, especially for Santa Cruz considering he is the underdog, making his first WBA superfeather title defense against the former owner.

A KO victory for Gervonta Davis seems like fate for most, but I think Santa Cruz Iron chin could hold just long enough to turn the tide, thats when things will get interesting. Having said that, the betting money is on Tank with good reason. I look forward to this fight.

If Leo’s chin holds up,uses his long arms and box effectively. Then he’ll have a chance we’ll see

If he loses = he's green, Loma overrated.
If he wins = LOLOLOL Loma overrated bump, Lopez rules.

Fact is, he is pretty green. But he asked for the fight, nay he demanded it. As for parallels against Floyd/Canelo, they're similar. Guess small difference is the weight drain, otherwise pretty similar.

Isn't Leo a champion at 130? Or are you like me who doesn't recognize any belts? I'm confused about how people double talk of these garbage belts. Fight is at 130. Shouldn't that favor Leo?

The bold: Not similar at all.

Lopez can't compare to Canelo in this hypothesis. Canelo was undefeated Champ, with over 40 fights and well seasoned. Lopez hasn't done crap except beat a bum Commey. The comparison is just wrong.

Loma also isn't in the same stratosphere as Floyd. Loma is 32, in his prime, fighting this kid. Floyd was geriatric 36 when he wiped out Canelito.

The only comparison is their age.

Santa Cruz is clearly not a bantamweight anymore. I'm not going to equate this fight to a lightweight fighting a bantamweight. He's a quality opponent.

He’s no lightweight though, and neither is tank. This is a featherweight fighting a junior welter

Yeah I don't understand the complaints when the fight is at 130. It's not like Santa Cruz is a scrub either.

It's not though. The fight is at 130. If Tank makes that weight you can't call him a 140 pound fighter.
