Povetkin might be older but his boxing background is amazing yeah Dillian had him down twice but true world class fighters don’t let u off the hook and when Povetkin landed he made sure Dillian stayed down

Will Povetkin get a rematch clause? Or is it just fight until Whyte wins one......rematch clauses should be banned.Win, you win and move on !

Yup that's the British mentality though if we lose we have a chance to win again but if we win then we move on and forget the trilogy even if we win in lackluster fashion (AJ-Ruiz 2). Rematches are necessary in some cases just not when you quit or get slept.

The key here is to make the public believe you'd win the trilogy if it happened. AJ definitely did that.

How did Povetkin 'make sure' Dillian stayed down? You make it sound like Povetkin started finishing him on the ground MMA style

Well put. I’ve seen Whyte come in out of shape. Sasha always is prepared. The guy is a smaller HW but he has heart and no quit. He’s proven that. Sasha’s best single offensive punch or combo will always be better than Whytes. I had the fight 50/50 going in. I’m not surprised about anything in the way the fight turned out. It was a beautiful punch, and that’s what it took.

I think this decision is going to come back to haunt Hearn. Whyte's chin is suspect under normal circumstances so I can't imagine that getting back in the ring less than 3 months after a brutal KO loss will be good for him.

All of the best heavyweights in the past have gone down, its how they recover from it is what counts. Povetkin went down, but he wasn't hurt at all and came back with one of the most brutal knockouts we have seen in a while. Look for him to KO Whyte again in the rematch, they should not be rushing Whyte into this rematch so soon after a vicious Ko like that. Povetkin is underrated, when in reality he has been one of the best heavyweights of the past 10 years, great skill, good punching power...i personally have always enjoyed watching him and always has a chance against any heavyweight out there, even at his age now....the KO over Whyte proved that, he also had Joshua hurt a couple of times.
