I do not think so. Wlad really showed what skill Barret has.

Have you seen the last fight of Valuev?

Note that Valuev won many of his fights by decision. One should not underestimate his skill -- which is relatively decent for a 7 foot guy.

Nearly half? 44 wins with 32ko's.... I'm not sure where you learned to do math buddy.

I favor Valuev... but I'll be rooting for Barret since Valuev is a sham of a HW title holder.

i'd like to see a hungry, focused barret show up and attack the caveman's body for the first six rounds, softening him up, while using his stick and move boxing skills to hit and not get hit. it all depends which barret shows up, he better be hungry, he might not get any more chances after this

Valuev can be beaten by someone with boxing skill.

              Thoughts.

first thought that comes to my mind is that barrett gets hit easily

he maybe eating alot of valuev jabs all night

second is his stamina. he was dead tired vs beck (although he pulled out the tko) and lethargic vs rahman

but most of all its his record: too many close fights with similar level opposition and losses when he has stepped it up

See, I hope he wins because I think he's more deserved of a championship and I also think he can put people in seats:

He's american, skilled, and a heavyweight.

The Rahman fight was strange, and I think there might have been some shady dealings going on....and both guys looked like they were paid to take a dive.

Who cares, and either way. Barrett is a top ten heavyweight any way you slice it....and has a shot at becoming a champ. Beating Valuev.....and then rematching Mesi or taking on a Vasily Jirov would be a good thing for boxing.

Barrett would beat Mesi in a rematch, and Jirov would get outclassed in serious fashion.

Oh and don't start writing Barrett off either:

I'd pick him against Maskaev, Liakahovic, and perhaps Brewster depending on what Barrett shows up.

Oh and it may not seem feasible.....but what if Barrett knocks Valuev the **** out? then what?
barrett's conditioning for this fihgt will be decisive

                  Easily.

The more the fight goes to the trenches....the more Barrett will get worn out when he clinches the giant.

The fight is the jab to the body, and the hook upstairs moving in circles.

Just out of curiousity, how do you guys compare Barrett with Beck? Valuev has definitely become better, he actually started punching with his right hand and added some punches to his arsenal. I think he will KO Barrett within 8 rounds.

Beck is not on Barrett's level.

If you watch their fight, he simply goes about the motions before stopping him.

Exciting fight however...I watched it again last week and jumped out of my chair a couple of times.
