Yeah I don't blame Usyk for wanting his shot, he doesn't owe Fury or AJ anything, and as you say, he's getting on.

This is why I don't really give a s*** about the abc belts and unification, we all know Fury and AJ are the top dogs in the division, so let them fight and the fans will know who the #1 is regardless of who has what belt.

Usyk can grab a vacant title and challenge the winner, it is what it is.

I'll say this though, all these abc belt politics make boxing a laughing stock, no wonder the UFC are taking over.

    F*** all the governing bodies.

It seems most on here are putting Usyk up as the villain for wanting his shot at the title.

As much as i would like to see fury Aj you have to remember when usyk gave up his belts to move up he did it with the knowledge that he would be the wbo number 1 contender as soon as he moves up.

If aj and fury gets made it would probably be a 2 fight deal so usyk would have to wait till 2022 for his shot. He's already 33 and a fighter that relies heavily in movement and footwork. He can't afford to wait 2 more years

Yet Fury needed the WBC belt to be ranked #1.

To be honest, Usyk should not be looking past Chisora because Chisora can still ****. I am going to put a bet on Derek Chisora to knock out Usyk due to his attitude lol.

"and become the heavyweight champion."..................I think he means "become a* heavyweight champion."

There are 2 consensus champs right now and that is already more than we should have.

I cannot see AJ giving up the belt but I cannot see him giving up all that money that he would make from a Fury fight or fights.

I would normally be surprised that Usyk was made mandatory so quick after moving up but again this is the state of boxing we are in today.

I fully agree. If Usyk only cares about being a "champ" and holding a title then so be it but if he is looking to be the clear cut best at HW then he needs to stop all this title talk and beat the real best in the division regardless what a belt says.

I get what you are saying but also how is it fair to the other top contenders to have this guy come up from another division and force you down a spot? It sucks that Usyk is getting older and time is running out but that is life and why should the other guys in the division have to cater to Usyks needs? I like Usyk and I think he has potential to do some damage in the division but at this age I think it is a bit too late and unfair to force everyone to cater to his needs.

Lol I can care less about the biggest UK fight in history to me Usyk has the best chance against Fury and that is the best fight in the division to me.

The upside to AJ losing his belts to Fury though is he gets out of the way, it's a damn shame there is a rematch clause.

Hilarious so many on here are sleeping on Usyk and acting like hes some nobody mandatory. Hes a threat, far more than someone like Whyte could ever be.

AJ is #2 to you maybe.

Hes a paper champ to me.

Usyk is the better fighter on paper and I pick him to prove he is better in the ring as well.

Usyk has an incredible resume, and is undefeated. It's one of the few times I fully endorse a quick trip to a title fight.
