  • Comments Thread For: Fury Dares Joshua: If No Wilder - Grow a Pair and Let's Fight in December!

Tyson Fury says he wants to fight Anthony Joshua in December if his fight with Deontay Wilder does not go ahead. Fury and Frank Warren, his promoter, confirmed that December 19 is still the planned date for third fight with Wilder, with Warren saying talks had taken place with some locations about a large site fee in case it cannot be held in front of a large crowd in the United States.

Good luck with that one. Eddie Hearn doesn't do behind closed doors, studio bubbles fights and Bob Arum doesn't do PPV fights without a live gate.

Fighters need to stop acting like they're game with ridiculous offers.

The fight will not occur until they can fill out an arena.

We know for sure, BumSquad Wilder don't want another beat down from Fury.... BumSquad sorting through tomato cans and retirement facilities looking hard for his next opponent!

And it certainly won't be happening as a late notice fill in if Wilder pulls out.

People don't take this seriously do they?

Fury is full of talk as usual, was offered a 3 fight deal before Wilder but turned it down. Looking forward to seeing Joshua beat him but I think he is going to fight a real negative fight vs Joshua and try to steal rounds in the last 30 sec like Ray Leonard did vs Hagler.

If Saudi offer £100 million for the fight, it will take place, with or without a crowd.

But you're probably right, I can't see this happening until late 2021.

Joshua has two mandos to clear.

The narrative right now is like Pulev and Usyk do not exist....... the only way you clear Usyk is if Chisora beats him, which is unlikely.

                  One Fight to Many

Its come full circle now with Fury trying to get a fight with AJ, it would have been Wilder again chasing AJ if he had won. Now they have one fight to many, they may have felt they had frozen AJ out by fighting first, but are now stuck with a fight no one really wants. The promoters need to make sure they do not lose money so need a crowd. Wilder may say he wants to fight as fitting for the image he has portrayed but fears he may lose again. Fury has to fight again in a fight he has already won so has nothing to prove and everything to lose. AJ will not fight Fury without a crowd; and has the Pulev fight planned. Wilder cannot step aside as this is his quickest route back to a World Title fght. If Wilder does step aside he will be out of the loop for the next year while Fury and AJ fight. Maybe one of the titles will be dropped and Wilder will be given the opportunity to fight say Usyk for WBO or Povetkin/Whyte for WBC...If not sorry Fury you are fighting Wilder again for your next fight.

If Tyson Fury wants to fight Joshua in December then he should vacate the WBC Heavyweight title because Wilder would sue and Bob Arum wouldn't promote it.
