I've been trying to sort fact from fiction. The original news of Loma taking a paycut came from a site which is incredibly unreliable, so I wanted to find something which was a bit more credible.
    Any update

      Nah.

I mean, I found heaps of sites which were saying that he gave up extra money. But I tried to find where they were sourcing their info from, and couldn't find anything solid.

I haven't found anything at all saying that he didn't give extra money.

John seemed pretty confident though, so will be good to see what he has.

The WBC and Canelo had a fallout because of the post Khan win and a week after was ordered to cut a deal ASAP or a purse bid was to be ordered a couple weeks later. That’s way less time than the WBO who gave Floyd 59 days to make a decision if he wanted to keep the WBO. They’re choices right?

Again, Canelo Alvarez was in litigation with All Star Boxing during that month for an 8mil suit. Canelo made it clear that the WBC didn’t care for that circumstance and wanted go ahead with the bid. But but “Canelo ducked doe.”

Fans don’t accept those circumstances, even the PBC diehards whom claim this too, so fook it we’ll play their game too and say Floyd ducked Bradley because apparently choices aren’t understood
But Canelo went right back to the wbc after that.

You keep leaving that part out. He gave up the wbc belt then won it back. Then gave it up again in the charlo situation. Now he is campaigning for the 168 wbc title.

So canelo is just fine with the wbc

Canelo wasn’t fighting for GGG’s belt in the first fight. Canelo didn’t associate to anything the WBC did until after the Clen scandal. The WBC-CBP has already known about nano traces from boxers. That’s why Francisco Vargas was waived years before whom had double of Canelo’s amount and still allowed to fight.

That’s politics! Margaret Goodman has already known about that WADA was reviewing Clenbuterol since it was in discussion for years, and recently they finally allow a threshold which Canelo would’ve been waived since it was below 2ng.

As Rick Glaser said, the WBC just abused GBP’s interest for the WBC 168 and headlined it as “Canelo has submitted a request...”. Canelo doesn’t need the WBC. Smith and BJS were on previous radar and still is

Sorry I don’t. I’ve just been following the information put out by the media and fanboys worshipping Loma on twittter.
