    Good Read as always!

But Nostalgia is a real thing. Sometimes it’s accurate. But MOST of it it’s bias.

And I can't see ANY boxers protesting. This is a GLOBAL sport and like he said lots of time and $$$$$ are put into training, contracts. And you fkn with the other guys money to feed his family.

If they did it last minute I could see them never being used again and blackballed. Plenty of other boxers out there.

If he did it way in advance and said I'm not fighting here's why and let all know. Then they would probably be used again.

      I know they allow that.

The previous post i replied to implied that canelo gave up the wbc belt because he didnt want anything to do with the wbc. But here he is still trying to fight for a wbc strap at a different weight. So obviously that wasnt true.

      Pay attention

And Boxing Scene did numerous reports about Floyd vs the WBO. So “giving up” belts is only reserved to Canelo?

If you're just now noticing. Nobody at pbc fights for the wbo title bro...

        Why? I dont know.

But Angelo Leo is the only wbo champ on their roster and that happened literally this month

I’ve been saying that! The point is it’s a CHOICE! If Floyd feels he’s above an org then how is that different than Canelo doing it to the WBC? The WBC and Canelo had a fallout because of the post Khan win and a week after was ordered to cut a deal ASAP or a purse bid was to be ordered a couple weeks later. That’s way less time than the WBO who gave Floyd 59 days to make a decision if he wanted to keep the WBO. They’re choices right?

Again, Canelo Alvarez was in litigation with All Star Boxing during that month for an 8mil suit. Canelo made it clear that the WBC didn’t care for that circumstance and wanted go ahead with the bid. But but “Canelo ducked doe.”

Fans don’t accept those circumstances, even the PBC diehards whom claim this too, so fook it we’ll play their game too and say Floyd ducked Bradley because apparently choices aren’t understood

Although I commend Breadman for not acknowledging the Loma taliking points I still have to point out that had that been Canelo and not a Loma he would have rushed to correct the guy on Loma taking a pay cut to make the fight. Loma didn’t take no pay cut ESPN payed Teo the xtra money to make the fight

It was reduced from the beginning because of no crowd they both took a pay cut but since Teos pay was way more drastically cut he threatened to pull out which was where the narrative started that Loma was taking his own money to pay Teo the difference. Not true ! ESPN payed Teo the difference not Loma

Have you got some links for this?

I've been trying to sort fact from fiction. The original news of Loma taking a paycut came from a site which is incredibly unreliable, so I wanted to find something which was a bit more credible.

Michalczewski wanted no part of RJJ, heh. He liked the money that was coming his way for making that many title defenses. He did fight good fighters but RJJ at the time would have taken his belt and then the gravy train would have stopped.

                      EDIT

It would have been one hell of a fight, though. Oh well.
