But Fury's closer to those other guys because unlike Canelo & AJ, he's not stiff in public.

Who would you rather see on a talk show, Fury or AJ/Canelo?

He's the greatest heavyweight and the greatest personality in the sport.

    Get over it.
    Boom.

    Exactly.

Canelo, Fury, Joshua are the most popular boxers at the moment but neither of them is the face of boxing and never will be.

Did they miss both Golovkin fights as well?

A lot of those people don't watch any of his fights, they just know the name because of ESPN, etc.

If they don't know, or barely know Mayweather, they probably don't know Golovkin either. Is that supposed to be some slight against him lol? Its about where boxing fits amongst other sports around the world, and about the very few who transcend the sport. Fury does. Hes really the only one right now.

So yes, many, many people can name Mayweather, Pacquiao, Fury, Ali and not know a single opponent. It's just exposure via different mediums and word of mouth.

How does any of this surprise you dude? You've been here for a long time, surely you know from experience that back in the day when Floyd and Manny fought, it was always "Manny is fighting" or "Floyd is fighting" and the opponents were an afterthought. The most causal of causals back in the day would ask stuff like "has Mayweather fought Pacquiao yet?". Those were like the only two names known after DLH retired pretty much til Fury.

Most trainers, fighters and experts have Canelo as the face of boxing that shouldn’t even be an argument right now.

It’s only an argument for the Brit boys here who live in they’re own little world.

Canelo and Pacquiao are the only active boxers who have ever sold more than 1 million PPV buys here. Fact.

Two fights ago Tyson Fury sold only 3,577 tickets against Otto Wallin. Fact.

Fury is the face of boxing, doe.

Cause he’s probably the same age as me, I’ve never listened to any Jeezy. Southern hip hop to me is Geto Boys, UGK, Three Six/Triple Six Mafia, OutKast, Goodie Mob, 8 Ball & MJG, and of course DJ Screw. (I know I’m missing crazy names)

You're better than this deflection crap roll.

None of that refutes what I said. Fury is still a bigger name and face. Canelo breaking 1 mil buys fighting another big name doesn't mean he is more known right now. Not many watched the Wallin fight live but despite this, Fury is everywhere: talk shows, WWE, he might host the next Contender series.

You can sit here and moan about PPV numbers all day but the reality is, that isn't the only metric, its who is more popular, not who makes more money, which would still probably be Fury in that case.
