Furthermore, 168lbs is the limit for Super Middleweight. 150 or 152 isn’t the limit for Super Welterweight. If you want to be consistent you would have to find a fight that Canelo was over 3lbs OVER THE LIMIT.

Like I said, this isn’t a case of Figueroa Jr. vs DeMarco or Quigg vs Valdez.

And many “fans” don’t know that Angulo, Lara, and Kirkland had WAY MORE fights above 155+ before Canelo even stepped at that narrative. The fight with Hatton was contracted for 150. They pulled Hatton up from welterweight to Canelo at 150 for the vacant WBC 154-pound title, so no it couldn't be at 147.

Ricky Hatton wanted to pull his brother out after Canelo was 1.5 over and refused to make any further attempts get down to 150.

They paid Matthew Hatton a very handsome sum to stay in the fight.

The subtext is apparent... they “pulled.” I guess Mikey was “pulled” from simultaneous 135-140 straps to attempt a 147 belt, and the kid wasn’t stopped from a Texan whom can compete at 154 easily. Duran was “pulled” from Lightweight to Middleweight?

This is boxing. Stop being soft. We don’t need “on paper” representations for how pros spar all the time with guys bigger than them. The fact that you don’t acknowledge what happens in sparring on a daily basis with guys of different sizes like “GGG spars Cruiserweights” or your Avatar rocking a Floyd pic for a guy who fought a 135lb pounder in Marquez to change it from 144-146 “last minute” as you say... proves why industry has bias and suspect appearances!
