So how often had canelo really chased the best as you say he does? Belts don't mean shet in 2020. Adrien Broner was a 4 division world champion for the love of God. That used to be an automatic hall of fame induction not too long ago. Now it's a joke. When guys like Liam Smith and Rocky Fielding are called "world champions" (let that sink in for a min) you know belts are watered down and often meaningless. And Canelo is no boss, he needs permission from dazn to make any decisions. You wait and see if he makes his own ppv, and when he doesn't, either come here and eat crow or just disappear.
At the end of the day Canelo is making more in one fight than you and 3 or more generations of your family combined will ever make.

There is no pleasing anybody now that they are exploring the only 2 current champions at 168 people are still complaining I think both are easy work for Canelo but Saunders would be more difficult than Smith plus it would be a shame for Canelo to take out 2 out of 4 bros if a kickboxer with 13 fights can come in with very little pro boxing experience and give Callum all he can handle I see Canelo TKOing him in under 8.

Canelo dose have a lot of detractors, and gaining even more due to his poor selection of opponents as of late. The WBC bends over backward for him ever since he once turned his back on their organization. Canelo is a good fighter, but he's changed drastically over the years. I believe that's that his promoter has a lot to do with that. Delaying certain fight waiting for that opponent to get older in order to give himself a better chance of winning. Keeping the fans in suspense as to who he will fight next, I mean his money and success ha gone to his head. Not fighting GGG last year, screwing DAZN over who signed him to a huge contract, and rightfully wanted to make a profit on their investment. Canelo chose not to take the fight, because his two other fights with GGG, were so grueling. I though he lost both fights, but he got the nod, and many fans agreed with the decision. Smith, or Sanders are way better than the opponent Canelo wanted to fight, and whom the WBC disgracefully approved. Thankfully DAZN put its foot down, and refused him as an opponent. Canelo has got to get off of that Hollywood attitude, and fight fighters that fans will be looking forward to watch. I hope that he truly becomes a world champion fighting, and defending his title'(s), in other countries. Fighting exclusively in Las Vegas, like Mayweather did, and getting some questionable decisions like Mayweather did isn't the way to be considered the best pound for pound in the world of boxing.

But they do this all of the time, they'll throw around names like Lemuiex, Murota, Dirrell and now Yidilgrim, so that when they pick a guy like Smith or sanders, who both looked like ass in their last fights, the perception will be, well at least it's not as bad as those other guys.
Haha I know what you mean. But is it really that brilliant, no. It's just a simple way of playing of fans either bias, or anticipation, expectations, etc. To the new boxing fan, why would they assume that literally everyone involved in the sport, even the fighters themselves, are taking them for a ride, when supposedly any every day person can become a professional boxer and champion if they work hard enough and are good enough. Why would any person with integrity automatically assume that every single person in an entire business has zero integrity, or at least, is not honest with them, integrity or not?

The only reason the manipulation is obvious to me is because Ive followed the game for like a decade now, and you start to see the patterns. And you put away your assumptions that even a single boxer or person in the business is honest with the fans about anything, and just look at what's happening at face value, and be honest about it no matter how different the reality is from what you expected. Once you do that, and you watch the patterns long enough, it becomes obvious. But do I blame or look down on new fans for not seeing the manipulation, no, because why would they? Why would they assume everyone in the business is lying to them? Like, Im a human being. I dont like to lie to people. And pro boxers are human beings. Therefore, why would I assume they are lying, right? Why would I look at them in a more negative light than myself? Wouldn't that be wrong in itself?

But, it turns out that... IMO, they pretty much always are lying to the fans. Even the ones I was ****** enough to like in the past. They're good actors, what can I say. So really I shouldn't have even said that Oscar and the WBC are manipulating "******" fans. They're not necessarily ******. I mean, I was talking about the ones who have followed Canelo, and before that Floyd, for 10+ years and still dont see that they are hustling and manipulating the fans. If you still dont see it even in the most blatant cases, well that is sort of similar to not seeing that Adrien Broner is a trainwreck, you should be able to see the most obvious examples they give you after a certain amount of time... but not realizing that Team GGG, or the "good guys" in the sport that we like, are manipulating fans just as bad as Canelo, that doesn't make you ******, it just means you haven't realized how the hustle works yet and that they hustle you from both sides, good guy and "villain" characters, not just the villain characters, so to speak.

But I shouldnt have said ******. I was just trying to make a point that anyone who still falls for this crap should wake up.

So they'd rather pay Saunders under Canelo stipulations than come to England and take up Saunders challenge of a potential free fight...

So much for this 'canelo wants to fight abroad' malarkey...

                Both will want paying handsomely...

Most likely whispers to try appease what will really happen in fighting the Turk in September...

The clenelo garbage selections continue. Fight skilled opponents like Charlo, Andrade and David Benavidez. This is why Mexicans from Mexico don't like him 🥊

Keith Idec sounds like a casual ffs... lol

“He’d help sell the bout better than the low-key Smith and the fight itself would be intriguing because Alvarez typically has had more difficulty dealing with southpaws than orthodox boxers...”

Lara and Trout were ages ago. It’s actually surreal that Canelo at such a young age was fighting and tagging back, scoring, against those elites.

To put in perspective about TRUE SWITCH hitters (discussed like Crawford or a once Ward) is that Jacobs would spark both Trout or Lara, the Brooklynite that can switch up and GAVE GGG PROBLEMS because of it. But that context isn’t said because even journalists have things against Canelo. If they jumped in a ring they’d know. The Canelo today is leagues above Ring IQ than back then, so Jacobs is a better context. This is like saying Lomachenko has problems with Salido types when that was ages ago...as if “adjustments” isn’t a sweet science procedure.

Idec subtextually hating on Canelo. If he really wanted to report good journalism he would’ve said, “BJS at 168, said by many fans and the eye test, doesn’t look great at all and sluggish... it would make Canelo the high favorite and win by KO.” That’s the honest truth.

I’ll even take “Smith is a more difficult opponent than BJS.”

Wrong, clown. I love Mexican greats. Key word being "great", as in someone who dares to push the envelope. Salvador Sanchez is my second all-time favorite and he's a close second only to Aaron Pryor for me. Guys like Sanchez, Finito Lopez, Chavez Sr., Marquez and even Lupe Pintor and Carlos Zarate never shied away from tough fights. But your boy Canelo is more interested in posing in fitted sport jackets like a novela soap opera star. I sense that the real Mexican boxing fans sense this and know that Canelo does not respect them.
