How is this even possible? So what would be Canelo’s guarantee from Al Haymon? Can PBC match DAZN’s minimum even with PPV? It was revealed that Team Canelo didn’t pursue this and that it was done by the WBC.. Therefore, wouldn’t Alvarez publicly withdraw from the WBC position? Seems like a mess. Needs clarity.

Avni Yildirim's manager Ahmet Oner has revealed they've contacted Al Haymon who will conduct negotiations for the ordered Canelo fight. It's been reported DAZN won't approve the bout, but Oner has claimed they'll go to purse bids and try to secure it for Showtime. [@BILD]

Well if it’s true that Team Canelo REQUIRE a minimum from DAZN, or if Canelo/GBP want the full, how does Haymon and Showtime even provide what’s initially wanted? There’s no gate. How in the hell can Showtime even entertain 34mil?

Seems like this is all a ploy just to move Canelo out of the WBC position knowing any affiliation to Canelo won’t go to Showtime nor would they interfere with DAZN legally. So, I think Haymon is trying to get Yildirim a fight with whoever just for the WBC and then have Plant unify. I think David has moved on to 175.

Notice the pattern again. Same thing over again when Canelo was deemed Franchise. Theory was that Haymon knew GBP wouldn’t take a Charlo purse bid, so PBC won having a belt for Fox. according to the wbc, the request to fight yildirim for the title came from eddy reynoso. that means its coming from canelo himself.

canelo and dazn are currently at an impasse because dazn wont offer him more than 17.5m. even without the gate, a network like showtime can beat that guarantee.

No it’s a conflict of interest. Reynoso and Oner know each other well as Yildirim has been a Canelo sparring partner and friends. One would interpret that as Canelo and Team Yildirim taking advantage of DAZN’s approval and pay. The Turk is about to make an astronomical payday because the Dollar to Turkish Lira is huge since many world economies crashed during Covid with currency trades falling.

Yes, whoever wins the purse bid would be responsible for the purses of both fighters.

This is just a negotiation tactic from Canelo's side. In reality, it won't get to a purse bid, and if it did, Canelo would likely just pull out and Smith would become the mandatory.
