Comments Thread For: Arum: Dillian Whyte Got What He Deserved, Talked Too Much About Fury

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, who co-promotes WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, believes Dillian Whyte spent too much time looking ahead and not enough time concentrating on Alexander Povetkin.

Reality will set in when Whyte realise it bombed as a ppv event and he gets no money for being KNOCKED OUT.

He will know go and change his whole team again, but he must remember his chin is made of china

Fury was in Whyte's head 24/7.

These bums need to stop thinking about Tyson and mentioning his name, and concentrate on their own careers.

If you get into a war of words with Fury, you will lose and make yourself look very foolish.

You idiots praise Nandrolone Fury for fighting bums, but talk smack about Whyte who has been fighting top opponents. This is what boxing has become now?

Whyte did set himself up for a fall with all the trash talk about Fury and the sparring etc, all a bit needless and unnecessary. He can't complain now that the likes of Arum celebrate his failure. If he doesn't learn from this experience, he never will.

To be fair to Whyte he's taken the loss well and seems to have a good handle on things. He got 'clocked' after a technical error and has taken nothing away from Povetkin. Hope they can both provide the same level of fireworks before Christmas.

            Its so funny.
They complain when you pick a weak opponent, they still complain when you pick a strong opponent.
Povetkin/whyte kind of match up is what we need in boxing, a real challenge and should be encouraged.
Whyte was in a strong position for a mandatory title fight but he risked it on the line to take a dangerous fight. He could have stayed idle and wait for his shot but the man is a warrior, he wants all the big names he can get, either win or loose.
We should encourage him to encourage others instead of slamming him on the face.

With wins over Klitschko and wilder. Fury has the best resume in the heavyweight division.

Whyte struggled with plenty of competition and gets knocked cold against Povetkin.

Sorry mate. I’m just here to rub salt in your wound because you’re being a little bi+ch and not taking the loss like a man.

You’re trying to divert the focus.

Whyte talked it up, and got knocked cold. It wasn’t the first, it won’t be the last.

It’s like people forgot how fury treated chisora in the rematch. Absolutely obliterated him. Meantime years later Whyte goes life and death with him twice.

And I’d love to have someone fact check.. but didn’t Whyte get popped for a positive drug test against Rivas (which got hushed down and swept under the rug)

So don’t throw stones in a glass house

Yep, Whyte was talking more about Fury, Wilder, WBC

Hopefully he bounces back and regains mandatory position.

I doubt it. We will not see him, Fight for a title for a while.
